Rihanna has found herself in hot water after taking part in a racy photoshoot wearing a nun's habit.

The music star took to Instagram to unveil a striking image of herself adorning the cover of Interview magazine, clad in a nun's habit.

However, it wasn't the traditional attire that caused the stir, but rather the provocative twist Rihanna added to the ensemble.

With her white shirt provocatively unbuttoned, revealing her figure, and draped off one shoulder, Rihanna stared into the camera, her bright blue eyeshadow and vivid red lipstick completing the bold look.

Captured by photographer Nadia Lee Cohen, the image triggered an uproar among Rihanna's followers.

She also shared a video within the post, tugging at her shirt to expose a glimpse of her breast, barely concealed by her hand.

The look did not go down well with some fans, as one person said: "Christianity gets disrespected way too openly."

A second person said: "Ok I'm not Christian, but that is really disrespectful," while a third person said: "I’m tired of Christianity being mocked and belittled."

Despite the backlash, some defended Rihanna's artistic expression. "I am going to hang this picture on my wall," declared one supporter while another exclaimed: "I am crying, shaking. This is a masterpiece."

In the accompanying Interview feature, Rihanna addressed topics beyond the controversy, including her views on plastic surgery.

When asked about potential procedures in the next decade, she said: "No, no, no. Not 10. I don't got that much time. I want my t**ties pinned back to my shoulders, right where they used to be. I don't want implants, I just want a lift."

Despite her honesty, she confessed uncertainty about revisiting her previous figure, admitting she hadn't "done enough research to know."

Speaking on her relationship with A$AP Rocky, Rihanna said: "COVID sped up our relationship, which I felt like god knew we needed because we were going to start a family. And had it not been for COVID, we would’ve taken a lot more time to get comfortable with each other, to even know that we were ready.

"I let god lead and just let go. Because in previous relationships, I tried and tried and tried my best, and you still feel like it’s not enough. So when someone sees you completely, and believes in you, and thinks you’re worthy of being the mother of their kids, it’s a great feeling. I felt the same about him. I knew he would be a great dad."
