Ellen DeGeneres has been slammed for her "tone-deaf" interview with Justin Bieber where she questioned the 'Baby' singer about his family plans with wife Hailey Baldwin.
In the interview, Justin, 26, explained why he and Hailey, 24, were holding off on having a family for the time being, despite him wanting a "little tribe".
Appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Tuesday, the singer was asked a number of questions about his personal life, including: "How many kids are you going to have and when?"

Answering the question, Justin told Ellen that he plans to have a number of children with his wife of two years, saying: "I'm going to have as many as Hailey is wishing to push out.
"I'd love to have myself a little tribe. But, yeah, it's her body and whatever she wants to do."
After confirming that his wife wants to have a "few" children, Ellen asked what the couple were waiting for.
"What are you all waiting for? You know you love kids. You’re so good with kids. What’s the holdup?" she said.
Justin then explained that his wife has a number of goals in her personal life that she wants to accomplish before she becomes a mother and that he's supportive of her life decisions.
"I think the issue - there's not really an issue, but I think Hailey still has some things she wants to accomplish as a woman," Justin said. "And I think she just wants to - yeah, I think she just is not ready yet, and I think that's okay."

Ellen then described Justin's explanation as "fantastic".
"You know what? I was hoping that was the answer. I know how much you love kids, and you're going to be such a great dad, but I think that's so important," the host said.
However, after the interview aired, Ellen was slammed on social media for her "tone deaf" line of questioning.
One Twitter user wrote: "Wow. Even if you think it's funny, it's not. What if they had been trying and didn't want to talk about it? Can we stop asking families when they're going to have kids?"

Per the Independent, a third remarked: "Did she learn nothing from the Mariah Carey debacle?? Badgering guests about fertility isn’t funny or charming - it’s tone-deaf at best, callously cruel at worst."
Meanwhile, a fourth wrote: "As an older person I want to apologize for the treatment you received on Ellen's show. You held it together and took the high road of maturity. So much respect for you and the fact that you also respect your wife's choices. Great job bro!"
