After allegedly "throwing shade" at Selena Gomez earlier this week,  Kylie Jenner and Hailey Bieber are now seemingly living with the consequences of their actions.

It has been reported that the celebs have lost almost a million followers combined ever since Jenner and her friend, who also happens to be Gomez's long-term rival, were claimed to have "mocked" the former Disney Channel star over her eyebrows - something the pair denied.

It all started when Gomez dethroned Jenner as the most followed woman on Instagram.

As per Elle, at approximately 6:25 PM EST on February 22, the 'Lose You To Love Me' singer matched Jenner's follower stats, but just a few hours later she managed to surpass it, making her the new queen of the platform.

The outlet reported that Gomez officially led with 380,644,778 followers. Jenner, at the time, was close behind with 380,425,729 followers.

While you would just assume that it's a trivial issue, fans believed that Jenner's jealousy over her passing of the coveted title led her to ignite a feud with the 30-year-old. They're convinced that she even enlisted the help of Bieber, who is now famously married to Gomez's ex, Justin Bieber.

Gomez posted shots of her eyebrows stating that she "laminated her brows too much", and within "three hours", Jenner took to her Instagram Stories to post close-up shots of her own eyebrows before following it up with Hailey Baldwin's brows too.

After a video explaining the situation was posted to Twitter by Pop Base, fans started calling the Keeping Up with the Kardashian star out, even going as far as to brand her a "mean girl."

Jenner later took to TikTok to comment under a video about the alleged "shade" to slam people for "reaching."

"This is a reach," Jenner wrote before adding: "No shade towards Selena ever and I didn't see her eyebrow posts! U guys are making something out of nothing. This is silly."

Not only that, but Gomez was also forced to defend her celebrity bestie, Taylor Swift after a resurfaced clip of Bieber retching at the mention of her started circulating social media again.

Gomez commented under the TikTok video where Bieber was also described as a "mean girl" writing: "So sorry, my best friend [Swift] is and continues to be one of the best in the game."

In the wake of all the drama, the Wizards of Waverly Place alum decided to announce that she would be taking "a break" from the negativity, also adding that she was "too old for this."

And there have seemingly been repercussions for the Jenner sister, as well as Bieber too, as it has been reported that she's lost almost 1 million followers since her online spat.

According to data provided by Social Blade, The Tab reported that Jenner has lost over 400,000 followers on Instagram. The decline in followers began on February 22, when she lost 124,711 followers. She had an increase of 137,889 followers on the 25th but then a decline of 180,497 the following day.

Overall, she lost over 459,246 followers on Instagram.

As for the Rhode Cosmetics owner, the outlet reported that she has lost just over 350,000 followers on Instagram. On February 23, she lost 22,764 followers and they have continued to decline. Her biggest loss of followers was on February 26, when she lost 175,309 followers.

Similarly to Jenner, this loss of followers has hardly made a dent in Bieber's following as she currently has 50 million followers on Instagram, though the number does seem to be dropping.

Gomez seems to have won this battle, as her follower count has only increased.

Since February 23, she's managed to gain over 8 million followers in less than a week.

The universe has well and truly spoken.
