Some fans are speculating that Rihanna and her rapper beau A$AP Rocky have secretly tied the knot after the 'Umbrella' hitmaker donned a white bridal-esque gown at the Met Gala.
On Monday, May 1, Rihanna and A$AP Rocky stunned at the annual sartorial event at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City.
The couple - who are expecting their second child together - sparked rumors that they somehow managed to get married without the world finding out about their big day.
Given that the two are some of the biggest celebs around, you'd imagine that their nuptials would be lavish, star-studded and very large-scale - not exactly a recipe for a quiet, intimate ceremony.
And yet some fans are convinced that this pair of music icons managed to do it - get married without anyone having noticed.
The Barbadian beauty looked stunning in a white Valentino ensemble which included a flower-adorned cape and a sizable train. She paired the outfit with Cartier jewels worth $25 million - but she wasn't wearing a wedding ring.
A$AP Rocky donned a Gucci jacket and a kilt that he wore over studded jeans.
Fans flocked to Twitter to share their thoughts on their attire, with one fan tweeting: "I’m going to go out on a limb here and say I think this is a nod to Rihanna and ASAP getting married. She’s late and she’s the last to arrive and she’s in a wedding dress."
Another wrote: "I have a feeling Rihanna is married #MetGala."
A third penned: "Is this Rihanna’s wedding and we’re all just finding out about it…like go awf sisssss. Like surprise Met Gala this is actually my wedding… K thanks."
Other fans thought Rihanna's dramatic white gown may be a sign that she and the 'Praise the Lord' rapper are about to walk down the aisle and say "I do".
One said: "I have this weird feeling and I will delete it if I’m wrong but Rihanna and rocky are going to come and get married on the stairs."
Another chimed in: "This photoshoot has a wedding energy. I’m feeling it Rihanna."
But let's not get ahead of ourselves - Riri and A$AP may well be married, but it's more likely that they were merely honoring the late Karl Lagerfeld in line with this year's Met Gala theme.
Indeed one person pointed out: "Fun fact. Karl would usually close his Chanel shows with a wedding dress! THIS is ON THEME! The timing of Rihanna in the carpet! The styling! Everything!"
