Gwyneth Paltrow gave a surprisingly candid answer when asked which of her famous exes, Brad Pitt or Ben Affleck, was better in bed.
The 53-year-old actress opened up about her relationships with some of Hollywood's biggest heartthrobs during an appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast.
When host Alex Cooper asked Paltrow to choose between Pitt and Affleck as the better lover, she responded: "That’s really hard. Because Brad was like the sort of major chemistry, love of your life, and then Ben was, like, technically excellent."
Paltrow and Pitt met in 1994 while filming Seven, and after a few years of dating, they got engaged in 1996.
The GOOP founder spoke about the moment the F1 actor proposed while they were on the balcony of a house they were renting in Argentina.
"I wish I remembered exactly what he said, but he proposed, it was fantastic, I was thrilled. We had talked about it, but I was surprised in the moment, I remember that. I must have been 24," she told Cooper.
However, the couple's relationship ended in 1997, and Paltrow went on to date Affleck soon after.
The Shakespeare in Love and Bounce co-stars had an on-again, off-again relationship that lasted several years, which Paltrow described as a "lesson" in her life.
"It’s interesting, I think there’s certain boyfriends where you are trying to work stuff out, right?" she said during an interview, per PEOPLE. "Like, you’re trying to heal certain stuff from your childhood, and [Affleck] was very much a lesson in that way."
"I’m not sure exactly what I was trying to heal in that instance, but it was…he was, you know, it was specific," she added.
During the podcast, Paltrow also touched on her breakup with Pitt, saying it was "really hard” but still the "right thing at that time."
Reflecting on her younger self, she said: "There were a number of things that had happened, he was nine years older than me so he was far more... he knew what he wanted, he was ready to do it and I was kind of all over the place."
Paltrow later married Coldplay frontman Chris Martin, with whom she shares two children. After their separation, she married television producer Brad Falchuk in 2018.
Meanwhile, Pitt went on to marry Jennifer Aniston in 2000, though they divorced in January 2005. Just months later, he was spotted with his Mr. & Mrs. Smith co-star Angelina Jolie.
The pair, famously known as "Brangelina," went on to build a family and marry in 2014, before their split in 2016 led to a lengthy legal battle, which was finalized in 2024.
The Fight club actor is now dating Ines de Ramon, a 33-year-old jewelry designer and executive.
