It's weird how the characters that actors portray are often nothing like their real-life personas. For example, take Robert Englund, the man behind the melty face of slasher movie villain Freddy Krueger.  This is a character who's about as detestable as you can get, a loathsome child-murderer who haunts the dreams of teenagers; viciously taunting them before murdering them in increasingly sadistic ways. But Englund himself is well-known around Hollywood as a good-natured, kind, funny guy. He's also been close friends with Mark Hamill for many years. Think of that! Luke Skywalker and Freddy Krueger hanging out together. It really is stranger than fiction.

Another good example would be the British actor Tom Felton, who famously portrayed the snobby Slytherin brat Draco Malfoy in the Harry Potter film franchise. Draco is a slimy and bigoted character, but Harry Potter fans around the world insist that Felton himself is an absolute sweetheart. In fact, when he recently joined Pottermore, he was dismayed to find out that he'd actually been sorted into Gryffindor instead of Slytherin, something which J.K. Rowling apparently found very amusing.

But what's more amazing is that, while they were arch-enemies on the silver screen, the actors who play Harry and Draco themselves actually get on incredibly well, and have been bosom buddies ever since filming wrapped on Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince. If you want proof, then just take a gander at Felton's Instagram account, where he recently posted an image that was very pleasing to Potterphiles everywhere.

The black-and-white snap shows Felton, (who is wearing a very funky-looking Hawaiian shirt) grinning widely with his arm around former co-star Daniel Radcliffe. Felton, who was keen to reference the fact that Radcliffe was starring in the Broadway production The Lifespan of a Fact, captioned the picture: "Go see it. He’s fantastic as per." Awww, isn't that sweet? Fans certainly seemed to think so, with people commenting things like: "THIS MADE MY HEART GO FWOOP!" and "My dream is to visits Hogwarts, one day I am going to go, I hope that you reunite more times ❤️."

This wasn't the only Harry Potter bombshell to make the news lately either. Recently Emma Watson revealed that she'd harboured a pretty big adolescent crush on Felton, despite the fact that their characters were frequently at odds with one another. Watson told Seventeen magazine that: "For the first two movies, I had a huge crush on Tom Felton. He was my first crush. He totally knows. We talked about it – we still laugh about it. We are really good friends now, and that's cool." Felton for his part has been pretty quiet on the subject of Emma's teenage infatuation. What a gentleman!
