Harry Potter star Jamie Waylett has a very different life now after spending time behind bars.

Fans of the popular franchise will recognize Waylett as he appeared on the big screen alongside Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson. and Rupert Grint, in the first Harry Potter movie, The Philosopher's Stone, and the following five films.

The 34-year-old former actor was known across the world for his performance of Vincent Crabbe, the son of a Death Eater and a member of Slytherin House at Hogwarts from 2001 to 2009.

Both Crabbe, and Gregory Goyle (Josh Herdman), teamed up with Draco Malfoy (Tom Felton), and the fierce trio was often seen tormenting Harry Potter.

Crabbe was an important character in J.K. Rowling's books, but fans were left bewildered when he suddenly vanished from the final two installments - Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2.

It was later reported that Waylett was dropped from the films after he was arrested in April 2009 for drug-related offenses. Police investigated his car and found eight bags of cannabis in his car, and they also discovered that he was growing the drug at his mother's residence in northwest London.

He was later found guilty and sentenced to 120 hours of community service. This marked the beginning of the end of his time on screen as in 2012, Waylett had another run-in with the law during the London riots and was apprehended once again.

This time, he was convicted of violent disorder when he drank from a stolen bottle of champagne and received a two-year jail sentence. In addition to this, he was also pictured carrying a petrol bomb, though he was cleared of planning to destroy or damage property, per The Mirror.

While his former cast mates finished out the hit film franchise and went on to star in new roles, Waylett put his acting career behind him during his prison stint.

He has now taken steps toward rebuilding his life and was spotted offering fans personal video messages on the popular celebrity website, Cameo. In one of the videos on his page, the ex-actor - who now sports a series of star tattoos above his eyebrow - said: "What's going on people, it's your boy Jamie Waylett."

"I played Vincent Crabbe in the Harry Potter movies one to six and I'm very excited to have the opportunity to give the people and loved ones in your life that you care about a special message. That's it from me, I look forward to hearing from you. Slytherin for life," he said in the clip.
