One Hollywood bombshell has been spotted looking worlds away from her usual self after being seen in costume for a new movie.

The 27-year-old actress will be taking on the role of boxer Christy Martin in a new biopic about the sports star's life.

But it's no wonder that fans were left stunned when they found out which famously blonde star was under the short brown wig of the character...

... believe it or not, this is Euphoria star Sydney Sweeney.

See the pics below:

Sydney, who is usually known for her glam outfits and glossy, long, blonde hair, traded her usual style for casual sweats and shorts as she stepped out between takes.

Her face appeared to be bare of make-up, but the biggest transformation was in her hair, as she wore a short, curly, brown wig with a bandana tied around her forehead.

The new movie, directed by David Michôd, is currently being shot in Charlotte, North Carolina.

It will chart the life of WBC super welterweight champion Christy Martin, from her sporting success to her tumultuous personal life, in which her husband, James, tried to kill her.

Christy, who was known as 'The Coal Miner's Daughter' in honor of her father's job, made her boxing debut in 1989 and is credited with helping to bring women's boxing into the mainstream.

She famously fought Deirdre Gogarty in front of a sold-out crowd and cameras at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas in March 1996, before gracing the cover of Sports Illustrated's April 1996 issue with the headline 'The Lady Is A Champ'.

However, her life was not smooth sailing, as in November 2010, Christy, now 56, narrowly avoided death when her husband - who was formerly her manager - stabbed her several times and shot her in the chest.

James left the then-42-year-old for dead on the floor of her bedroom in Apopka, Florida, however, Christy survived the brutal attack, and James was arrested days later.

Christy had married James - who is almost 25 years older than her - in 1991, however, their marriage was marred with issues including drug use.

After the attack, James was charged with first-degree murder and aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and was sentenced to 25 years in prison.

Christy later came out as gay and married Lisa Holewyne in 2017.

Sydney will be playing the boxer in the upcoming movie, while The Righteous Gemstones actor Tony Cavalero will star as James.

Christy previously told TMZ she was over the moon with Sydney being chosen to play her, saying: "I think she is young, hot, talented, and about to make a movie that in 20+ years, fathers will watch with their daughters to make them aware of domestic violence.

"I want this movie to bring awareness to domestic violence, the challenge of sexuality, and overall underdog story.

"I am a coal miner’s daughter from a small town in southern West Virginia that made an impact in a sport that wasn’t taken seriously: women’s boxing."

Sydney, who revealed she'd done grappling and kickboxing between the ages of 12 and 19, also shared her excitement at getting her teeth into such a gritty story.

She told Deadline in May: "Christy’s story isn’t a light one, it’s physically and emotionally demanding, there’s a lot of weight to carry. But I love challenging myself."

Sydney added that Christy "overcame gender stereotypes, and fought through emotional, physical, and financial abuse," explaining: "Christy’s story shines a light on her incredible rise to the top while showing the struggles of fame behind the curtains.

"I feel compelled to tell a story about a woman who faced so much adversity and didn’t allow it to defeat her. It’s powerful and emotional."
