Jonah Hill pays tribute to his actress sister with an adorable new tattoo
Jonah Hill has been attracting a lot of attention as of late. The actor, who is somehow 34-years-old, has undergone a serious body transformation recently, with him showcasing his refined physique on his Instagram account.
After hitting the big time after starring in Superbad back in 2007, he has been in plenty of comedies and dramas that required him to be all sorts of shapes and sizes. In addition to that, Jonah has also had some problems with his own weight off-screen and eventually decided to shed some pounds.
Speaking on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Jonah revealed that it was actually is 21 Jump Street co-star Channing Tatum that set him on the path to fitness, with some tough love being used to encourage him.
Hill described how he asked his constantly-ripped co-star if he "ate less and go to a trainer, will I get in better shape?" Tatum then replied: "Yes, you dumb motherf****r, of course you will. It's the simplest thing in the entire world."
However, while his weight may have been grabbing the headlines recently, it's Jonah's latest tattoo that has caught the attention of his fans and the press alike.
Jonah's sister, Beanie, is also an actor and recently starred in the Oscar-nominated movie Lady Bird, as well as being in Bad Neighbours 2 and played the lead character in the Broadway production Hello, Dolly!
Jonah is famously close to his younger sister and decided to permanently mark their relationship by getting a tattoo of her name in the Hello, Dolly! font.
Jonah uploaded the photo while wearing a Hello, Dolly! baseball cap and seemed pretty pleased with himself.
Beanie also shared the photo on her account, captioning it:
"Somebody wants to put on his Sunday clothes!!! @jonahhill – this is NEXT LEVEL. Love you!"
Fans were enamoured by the tattoo, with one user saying: "@beaniefeldstein your brother rocks! @jonahhill obviously loves you very much!! i cant help but think after having tattoos pressed on for so many months may have inspired this as well lol"
It's not the first time Jonah has posted a photo devoted to his sister on his Instagram - the actor also uploaded a very cute throwback of the duo, captioning it:
"As always, I’m copying her because she’s cooler and the leader of us two even tho she’s ten years younger. My hero and my best friend. And now she’s going to make fun of how earnest my Instagram posts are. But too bad Beanie, you taught me to be myself. And I’m sappy AF. Whatever."
Jonah's new ink comes just three months after his brother Jordan died after developing a blood clot in his leg, resulting in a heart attack.
Jordan was the manager of Maroon 5 and died on December 23 at the age of just 40. The family released a statement the next day, reading:
"Unfortunately, last night Jordan called 911 for shortness of breath, when paramedics arrived it was determined he went into full cardiac arrest and passed away shortly thereafter.
"His family asks for privacy during this difficult and unexpected time.
"In lieu of food and flowers, the family will announce a charity in the coming weeks where memorial donations can be made in Jordan’s name."
The tattoo may not be the most aesthetically pleasing thing I've ever seen, but it's a pretty sweet tribute to his sister.
