A lot of couples have cute nicknames for each other. The most common ones are bae, baby, sweetie, cutie and honey. But some people get more creative. For example, I call my girlfriend "Snuggle Butt," and she calls me, "Please delete my number and don't text me again." Of course, these nicknames are only cute to the couple. To everyone else, they're nauseating, or just weird.

At a concert in Japan, Katy Perry revealed her nickname for Orlando Bloom, and it's pretty bizarre. Now, you might think Katy is single, considering how desperately she craves kisses from American Idol contestants. But she has actually rekindled her romance with the immortal elf. Last month the two were spotted enjoying a romantic weekend in Prague, Czech-ing out the beautiful architecture. (Hopefully they got some good ghoulash.)

Anyway, Katy Perry is on her Witness World Tour, and just performed a concert in Tokyo. In a clip posted to Twitter, she addressed the audience, before singing Into Me You See. "I feel very loved," said Katy, "and this next song is about being so loved and so seen that you never, ever, have felt this feeling before. This feeling of love. This is called Into Me You See, for bubbadoo."

Apparently, 'bubbadoo' is Katy's pet name for Orlando Bloom. Yeah, I've never heard of that word before either. When I googled it, the top result is from Urban Dictionary (of course). They define 'Bubba Doo' as "one whom you adore, such as a (male) child or husband." And this was submitted in 2009, so apparently it's a thing. I thought maybe Orlando's nickname would be 'Legolas,' or 'Guy Who Didn't Need To Be In The Hobbit.' But I guess 'bubbaddo' is good too. And in case there is any doubt about the word, Katy has been photographed with a 'bubbaddo' bracelet.

The couple broke up a year ago, in March 2017, but reunited in January after a holiday in the Muldives. Since then, the pair has been spotted flirting on Instagram. When Orlando posted a video of himself crashing an F1 car, Katy commented, "Exhibit A: why I’m scared of your driving." And when Orlando posted a photo of himself modeling, Katy commented the he looked so hot "you’re making yourself drool."

A source told Page Six: "They’re back on. Katy wants to make things work this time around. She tried, but she couldn’t cut him off. She cares too much about him. This time, they’re keeping things low key – but they’re back together." And in case there is any doubt about their relationship, the couple was spotted in Tokyo dressed as Mario and Luigi. (Smart way to blend in.)

So, maybe you should try calling your romantic partner 'bubbadoo' and see how he or she takes it. I just texted my girlfriend, "Hey bubbadoo," and she wrote back, "Please delete my number and don't text me again." I guess she wants to stick with our nicknames.
