Kendall Jenner has been criticized by her Instagram followers for "sexualizing" the iconic Toy Story character Jessie.
The 26-year-old supermodel transformed herself into the auburn-haired animated character for Halloween this year. However, Jenner, whose older sisters have been known to don revealing outfits, made sure to add a risqué element - her toned midriff and her butt cheek-exposing denim underwear.
On Saturday, October 29, Jenner took to Instagram to give her 262 million followers a peek of her costume, captioning the post using a line from the movies: "Well aren’t you just the sweetest space toy."
The reality star resembled the character as she donned a similar pair of pigtails, cowboy hat, and boots. However, unlike the cartoon version, Jenner's behind was visible, covered only by a small pair of denim underwear.
The fictional character appears in the Disney-Pixar Toy Story franchise, making her debut in second movie. She is voiced by Joan Cusack in the flicks, with Kat Cressida doing her voice in the Disney Infinity series.
The brunette beauty also shared the look on her Instagram story.
Considering the character Jessie features in a beloved movie series aimed at young children, many of Jenner's followers were less than pleased at her sexy version of the cowgirl rag doll.
One critic demanded to know: "Why sexualize a character that is for children??? Seriously, why???"
Another added: "Stop spoiling my childhood favorite character."
A third remarked: "What a way to ruin a movie."
A forth commented: "Sexualising kids movies should never be okay..."
Another simply wrote: "Ruined my childhood."
A final person said in jest: "You didn't really have to show your butt you know that right. 😂 #cutetho."
Last year, Jenner stunned as the Martian Girl character from the 1996 movie Mars Attacks!, showing off her figure in tight dress.
People were a little kinder about that year's costume, with one impressed Twitter user writing: "kendall jenner as martian girl she definitely understood the assignment."
Echoing this tweet another Twitter user agreed that the model "understood the assignment."
