Kim Kardashian shares unexpected update on her relationship with Kanye West
Kim Kardashian has opened up about the current state of her relationship with her ex-husband, Kanye West, providing new insight into their evolving family dynamic. The couple, who divorced in 2022 after a tumultuous marriage, continue to share a strong bond, especially when it comes to their four children.
Kardashian, 45, recently shared her thoughts during an interview with Complex, clarifying how she and West are navigating co-parenting and their personal lives after their divorce.
The pair met in 2012, married in 2014, and later filed for divorce in 2021. Despite the challenges during their marriage, their commitment to being there for their kids remains a priority. They are parents to North (12), Saint (10), Chicago (8), and Psalm (6). Kardashian's comments shed light on the shared respect they have for each other, especially regarding their family.
A shared focus on family and co-parenting
When asked about her public support for West’s Yeezy brand, Kardashian made it clear that their relationship remains rooted in love for their children. "We’ll always be family," she said. "We both know that. We will be okay, and there's so much love for our family. We want what’s best for our kids."
Despite the end of their marriage, Kardashian emphasized that she and West are united in their goal of providing stability for their kids.
Kardashian also addressed her social media post featuring Yeezy boots, which sparked a brief conversation about her relationship with West. "I couldn’t deny the Yeezy heel, so I had to shout it out," she explained. "I will say, there’s nothing like a Yeezy heel. I don’t know if they ever made these or just made them for me. I love when a shoe is tonal to the pant."
Struggles with stress and maintaining privacy
While Kardashian is focused on her family, she has not been immune to the emotional toll of her past relationship. In an episode of The Kardashians last October, she opened up about the pressure she faced, particularly regarding her health and privacy. She noted the stress from having to "super, super protect what I had to protect" for the sake of her children.
In the months following their split, both Kardashian and West have had to address public challenges. West’s apology for his controversial remarks in 2025 and Kardashian's own struggles with stress, including a brain aneurysm, have been part of their journey. Through it all, Kardashian has remained dedicated to shielding her children from the turmoil, stating that her primary responsibility is to "just be strong for my kids."
