The results of Liam Payne's preliminary autopsy have been revealed, a day after the singer died.

Fans were left devastated after news of the One Direction star's death was confirmed on Wednesday (October 16.)
The 31-year-old star reportedly fell from a third-floor balcony attached to the hotel room where he had been staying in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
First responders told local news outlets that the singer's injuries were so severe there was no chance he could be saved.
According to reports from The Sun, the results of Payne's preliminary autopsy have now been confirmed.
The report states that the singer suffered severe injuries that led to “internal and external hemorrhaging” from the fall, according to a post-mortem carried out by two forensic pathologists in Buenos Aires.
Further tests are currently ongoing amid the investigation into the circumstances of his death.

Alberto Crescenti, head of the Buenos Aires emergency services, previously revealed Payne had a "cranial fracture and extremely serious injuries that led to his immediate death".
TMZ broke the news of Payne's death, revealing that several witnesses said the singer fell from the room he was staying in on the third floor of his hotel in Buenos Aires.
Payne, who was a former member of One Direction alongside Harry Styles, Louis Tomlinson, Niall Horan, and Zayn Malik, was a father to a seven-year-old son, Bear Payne, with his ex, singer Cheryl.
Reuters also shared that local newspapers La Nacion and Clarin reported that police were called to the hotel in the neighborhood of Palermo after an emergency call regarding an unnamed male guest.

The BBC reports that the head of Buenos Aires's SAME emergency medical service, Alberto Crescenti, told local television Payne had suffered "very serious injuries incompatible with life as a result of his fall" and there was "no possibility of resuscitation".
