Matthew McConaughey is the latest celebrity to (unintentionally) get involved in the ongoing bathing debate sparked by his fellow A-listers last month.

The hot topic emerged at the end of July when Mila Kunis and Ashton Kutcher opened up about their children - daughter Wyatt Isabelle, six, and son Dimitri Portwood, four - and more specifically, their rather infrequent bathing routine.

The That 70s Show co-stars-turned-spouses admitted that their little ones do not bathe every day - and, in fact, only have a wash when "you can see dirt on them".

The revelation sparked a real discussion online and other celebs have since weighed in on - or been dragged into - the debate. Some of them include Dax Shepard and Kristen Bell who said that they personally "wait for the stink" before bathing their kids.

What's more, Jake Gyllenhaal said earlier this month that "more and more, I find bathing to be less necessary."

Now, it has emerged that McConaughey, 51, does not use deodorant - and hasn't done for at least 35 years, ET Online reports.

In fact, recently, Yvette Nicole Brown, who acted alongside the star in the 2008 comedy Tropic Thunder, revealed that despite his lack of deodorant use, he has a very wholesome and pleasant smell.

Check out what she had to say here:

Brown recalled reading in a 2005 interview McConaughey did with People that The Wedding Planner star doesn't put on any kind of deodorant, she revealed to Sirius XM's The Jess Cagle Show.

"I remember that Matthew McConaughey said that he did not use deodorant and that he did not have an odor," Brown said. "My first thought was, 'I'm going to get as close as I can to him to see if he's right.'"

"He does not have an odor," she added. "He smells like granola and good living. That's all I can say. He has a sweet, sweet scent that is just him. It's not musty or crazy."

The actress also described how "kind" McConaughey was to her on the set of the movie.

She said: "Most of my scenes were with him and I've been a fan since A Time To Kill so the idea that I got to be in scenes with him and be directed by Ben Stiller ... it was a great experience."
