Michael Jackson's daughter Paris has revealed that homosexuality is "very taboo" in her family.
Speaking with Willow Smith on a recent episode of Facebook Watch's Red Table Talk, the 23-year-old model stated she felt she wasn't accepted by some members of the Jackson family - many of whom are devout Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Take a look at the full interview in the video below:Per Daily Mail, Jackon elaborated about her unusual upbringing with her pop icon father, telling her lifelong friend:
"I've reached a point right now where I have love and respect for my family, their beliefs, their culture, their religion.
"And if I'm to expect them to set that aside just so I can feel accepted, expectations lead to resentments for me... I’m still kind of figuring it out.
"My family is very religious and a lot of homosexuality is very taboo [to them], so they don’t like to talk about it, it’s not really accepted."

She went on to state that, despite her father's status as an A-list celebrity, she and her siblings had been raised with "solid morals" - although she believes her experiences at the hands of the paparazzi at a young age traumatized her.
In July 2020, Paris touched on how her father knew about her sexuality, in the Facebook Watch series: Unfiltered: Paris Jackson and Gabriel Glenn.
Speaking about her relationship with her Soundflowers bandmate boyfriend Glenn, Jackson stated: "I say I'm gay because I guess I am. But I wouldn't consider myself bisexual because I've dated more than just men and women.
"I've dated a man that had a vagina. It has nothing to do with what's in your pants. It's literally, like, 'What are you like as a person?"
She added: "I think he felt the energy and he would tease me the same way he'd tease my brothers, like: 'You got yourself a girlfriend!'
"If I were staring at a magazine of a woman too hard. I'm very lucky to have that, especially so young, 8 or 9. Not many children have that experience."
