Michelle Obama is the world's most admired woman, overtaking Angelina Jolie
Michelle Obama is quite the role model. Whether she's championing women's rights, or making efforts to solve childhood obesity, and support service members and veterans, it's apparent that the first African-American First Lady of the United States has carved out her own legacy, separate to that of her husband'.
Michelle's many initiatives include Joining Forces, the Reach Higher Initiative and Let Girls Learn, oh and not to mention the fact that she's also a lawyer, a bestselling author, and a mother-of-two.

And now, she has something else to add to her impressive roster, and it's that she's been named the "world's most admired woman", according to an annual study conducted by YouGov.
The study looks at which public figures are deemed to be the most inspirational, and this year, Michelle overtook Angelina Jolie, who scored the top spot last year. The actress dropped to third place, behind philanthropist and talk show host, Oprah Winfrey, who came in second.
Queen Elizabeth II stayed in fourth place on the 2019 list, while Harry Potter actress-cum-activist, Emma Watson took home fifth. Also in the top ten are Malala Yousafzai, Peng Liyuan, Hillary Clinton, Tu Youyou and Taylor Swift.
When it came to the most admired men, there were little surprises. Bill Gates - billionaire tech mogul and philanthropist - came in at first place, having topped the list every year since the survey started back in 2015.
