Naomi Campbell has recalled the "special moment" she became a mom for the first time while Bob Marley music played in the background.
Earlier this month, the 51-year-old supermodel shared news of her newfound journey into motherhood. Many fans were pleasantly surprised by the news as the new mom had kept tight-lipped on the pregnancy after revealing she welcomed a baby girl.
It has since been reported that Naomi may have become a mother through surrogacy, although she has yet to officially confirm this herself.
In any case, she revealed a sweet detail about becoming a parent as part of her YouTube series No Filter.
Check out the video here:Speaking candidly, Naomi said: "Music is like... In my most special moments, you know I just became a mom, I had Bob Marley playing. That's my roots, you know? It's my roots."
While the first-time mom has kept quiet about the identity of the child's father, it has been reported that she is raising her newborn with her "secret American boyfriend".
On May 18, Naomi took to social media to shared news of her daughter's arrival, alongside a sweet photo of her holding her baby girl's tiny feet.
She captioned the shot: "A beautiful little blessing has chosen me to be her mother, So honored to have this gentle soul in my life there are no words to describe the lifelong bond that I now share with you my angel. There is no greater love."
Back in 2017, Campbell told the Evening Standard: "I think about having children all the time. But now with the way science is I think I can do it when I want."
When asked if she would prefer to have children of her own than to adopt, she responded: "Maybe. Maybe... Maybe."
Elsewhere in the interview, she stressed that she would not want to be a single mother, adding: "I do want a father figure. I think it's important."
And when asked about the time pressure some women are under to have children, she added: "Now with the way science is I think I can do it when I want".
