Pierce Brosnan looked every inch his former James Bond persona as he walked the red carpet of the 2023 Met Gala alongside his wife, Keely Shaye Smith.
Last night's Met Gala - an event often hailed as the "biggest night in fashion" - saw many stars turn up and turn it out on the red carpet at the iconic Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.
We saw rapper Lil Nas X cover himself in body paint, Pedro Pascal showing off his legs in shorts, to Doja Cat dressed as and acting like a cat - the event was once again a headline grabber.
However, sometimes the classics are the best - and this was proven when former James Bond star Pierce Brosnan arrived at the event in a simple yet dapper black tuxedo with subtle floral detailing.
Posing for photos alongside his beloved wife of 22 years, the 69-year-old Irish actor completed the look with a pair of red-tinted Oliver Peoples glasses.
Wife Keely, 59, also dressed to impress as she looked sensational in a black sequin gown, paired with a floor-length sheer diamonte cape.
Both looks were absolutely faultless, and proved that you don't need to rely on gimmicks to look effortlessly debonair and sexy - as the event marked their first Met Gala event.
For those of you who are unaware of Smith's career, she first appeared on screen in a Huey Lewis and the News music video, for the 1986 track 'Stuck with You' (which spent three weeks at number one).
She then went on to land minor roles in popular TV shows, such as starring as Valerie Freeman for a season of General Нospital back in 1990.
An accomplished journalist and activist, Smith has also won multiple awards for her six-year stint as an environmental correspondent for ABC's The Home Show. And between 1995 and 1997, she was a correspondent for NBC's primetime hit show Unsolved Mysteries - perhaps most recognizable for appearing in the show's "phone center".
She has also made contributions and appearances for ABC's Good Morning America, CBS's Entertainment Tonight, and HBO's World Entertainment Report
The couple first met on a beach in Mexico in 1994, and would marry seven years later in Ireland in 2001. Pierce and Keely share two sons; 26-year-old Dylan and 22-year-old Paris - both of have followed in their parents' footsteps and are actors/models.
This truly is a Hollywood couple we should all admire!
