Danny Malin - the star of the popular YouTube channel Rate My Takeaway - has announced that he and fiancée Sophie Mei Lan are expecting their first child together.
Over the course of the pandemic, Malin amassed hundreds of thousands of subscribers on YouTube as he traveled the UK to review popular takeaways, cafes, and fast food spots.
His hilarious and amicable personality paired with his low-budget and simple video style was an instant hit - with views quickly hitting the millions. It wasn't long before Northern boy Danny was recognized on the streets and became a popular favorite on the platform.
Danny has also been open and honest about his family life, revealing that he has two children with his previous partner, Carrie Taylor, who tragically died in his arms around two years ago after she suffered a heart attack.
But Danny's fans were overjoyed to see him beaming with happiness back in December as he announced his engagement to Sophie Mei Lan, a mental health vlogger. The pair have even become known online as 'Mr and Mrs Yorkshire'.
"Time is short and I am not wasting any of it I asked Sophie to marry me and thankfully she said yes. I will spend every day making you and our kids as happy as I can us against the world," Danny wrote on Instagram back in December.
Now, Danny and Sophie have announced that they're expecting their first child together.
In a new Instagram post, Danny writes to his 15,000+ followers: "Some exciting news is what I have to share with you today.
"This may not come as a surprise to some of you that follow me and Sophie but I am very happy to announce that we are expecting our first little baby together. We are both over the moon with the news and cannot wait to meet our little miracle later on in the year.
"Our children and family are excited about the news and cannot wait to be on this journey with us. I love Sophie and our children so much and am looking forward to happy times ahead."
Sophie has also released a new YouTube video sharing their pregnancy journey so far.
Writing on her blog, Sophie says: "For both of us, we had never expected to eventually find our soul mate, especially after all the trauma we had both been through but finally, we had discovered an unconditionally loving relationship with another human.
"We are both absolutely ecstatic, it is better than our dreams coming true. We are already blessed with four children at home between us who we love more than anything and now we have another beautiful baby to add to our growing family."
