Gordon Ramsay has revealed that the Ramsay family could be expanding soon.
The 56-year-old celebrated chef and his 49-year-old wife, Tana Ramsay, offered an intimate glance into their life in this week's cover story in PEOPLE magazine.
The couple tied the knot in 1996, and are already parents to daughter Megan, 25, twins Jack and Holly, 23, daughter Matilda (known as Tilly), 21, and son Oscar, four.
However, the international restaurateur shared with the publication that his large brood may get a new addition as his partner of 27 years wants another baby.
Gordon disclosed that Tana doesn't only want another baby because "it's an exciting thing" but because she just "doesn’t want Oscar growing up on his own."
"On his own? He’s at school every day, and he’s got his four siblings! So, oh man, watch that space... I’m f***ed," he quipped, adding: "I’m going to be at school celebrating sports day with a f***ing walker!
"'Hey, who's your granddad?' 'That's my dad, actually.' So I'm not too sure how many knee-hip replacements they'll get by the time they get 21, but I'm going to try," he continued to joke.
Tana candidly opened up with the outlet that she always wanted a big family because she's "one of four, Gordon's one of four, so it's sort of second nature to me."
She said that her beloved children are "very cool," which prompted the Kitchen Nightmares host to happily brag about their achievements, sharing: "Jack’s a Royal Marine commando, off defending the country in some of the most extreme conditions.
"Megan’s an incredible police officer. Holly’s gone into fashion. Tilly’s studying at university for her degree. Tana and I came from a family with no degrees," he continued, adding that their youngest son Oscar is "a cool kid" and has "grown up rapidly because of his four older siblings."
The revelation comes after the couple heartbreakingly opened up about their pregnancy loss at 20 weeks in 2016. "Born with a strong heartbeat but too little to survive," Tana emotionally reflected on their son, whom they lovingly named Rocky.
According to Gordon, this devastating experience ultimately strengthened the family's bond and their unity. In loving memory of Rocky, they named their Cornwall home after him and wore jewelry inscribed with his name as a perpetual reminder.
"We wouldn’t have had Oscar had we not lost Rocky," he told PEOPLE. "There was no substitute - far from it - but it brought us a bond that you’d never experience in a normal situation."
The celebrity chef commended Tana's strength and her openness, describing her as "incredibly resilient."
Furthermore, he lovingly shared that their children "get a lot of strength from their mom," attributing the family’s resilience and collective strength to Tana's tenacious temperament and enduring strength.
"There's a lot of things that Tana's done, that we wouldn't be here today without that strength," Gordon expressed, shedding light on the impactful influence of his wife's enduring solidity on their family.
