Tributes pour in for John Travolta's late wife Kelly Preston
Earlier today, it was revealed that Kelly Preston, the wife of Grease star John Travolta, had died at the age of 57 following a two-year battle with breast cancer.
Family, friends, and fans have now flooded social media with tributes to the late actress.
Preston - who is perhaps best known for her roles in the movies Mischief, Twins, and Jerry Maguire - passed away on Sunday morning (July 12).
A representative for the family told PEOPLE that Preston had chosen "to keep her fight private", adding that "she had been undergoing medical treatment for some time, supported by her closest family and friends."
John Travolta also took to Instagram to share a touching tribute to his late wife, writing to his 2.6 million followers: "It is with a very heavy heart that I inform you that my beautiful wife Kelly has lost her two-year battle with breast cancer. She fought a courageous fight with the love and support of so many.
"My family and I will forever be grateful to her doctors and nurses at MD Anderson Cancer Center, all the medical centers that have helped, as well as her many friends and loved ones who have been by her side."

He added: "Kelly’s love and life will always be remembered. I will be taking some time to be there for my children who have lost their mother, so forgive me in advance if you don’t hear from us for a while.
"But please know that I will feel your outpouring of love in the weeks and months ahead as we heal."
Since news of her passing broke, tributes have poured in for the late actress.
John and Kelly's daughter, Ella, wrote the following tribute to her mother, in which the 20-year-old called her mom "courageous, strong, beautiful and loving".

Ella wrote: "I have never met anyone as courageous, strong, beautiful and loving as you.
Anyone who is lucky enough to have known you or to have ever been in your presence will agree that you have a glow and a light that never ceases to shine and that makes anyone around you feel instantly happy. Thank you for being there for me no matter what.
"Thank you for your love. Thank you for your help and thank you for making this world a better place. You have made life so beautiful and I know you will continue to do so always. I love you so much mama."
Some of Preston's former co-stars and celebrity friends have also shared their own tributes.
Actor and Lost star Daniel Dae Kim tweeted out: "I was lucky enough to work with [Kelly] on one of my very first films, “For Love of The Game.” We were shooting on cold days in Colorado, but she couldn’t have been warmer or kinder to a young, nervous actor trying to make good. I’ll never forget that. Thank you Kelly."

And Preston's Cat In The Hat co-star Spencer Breslin also paid his respects to Preston, writing: "RIP to my on screen mom, #kellypreston. What a lovely woman. Such a sad loss."

Frozen star Josh Gad tweeted his own tributes to the late actress, writing: "I’m in absolute shock. What a beautiful and amazing actress and person. So sad to hear of her passing at such a young age. My heart goes out to John Travolta and the entire family. What a loss."

Journalist and reporter Maria Shriver also shared her thoughts, tweeting: "Shocked by this sad news. Kelly was such a bright loving soul, a talented actress, and a loving mom and wife. Back To The Future star and Preston's SpaceCamp co-star Lea Thompson also paid tribute to Kelly on Instagram, writing: "I am so very sad to hear of my old friend @therealkellypreston passing. We had so much fun making #spacecamp all those many years ago.
"She was always full of love and light and Hawaiian breeziness. Kelly was so beautiful inside and out. Went way to young. #heartbroken for her whole family #breastcancerawareness is so important. Hold each other close and let’s keep fighting for a cure."

Preston's acting career started in 1980, and she went on to star in over 60 television and film productions. She is perhaps best known for her toles in Mischief, Twins, and Jerry Maguire.
She is survived by husband John Travolta, of whom she was married to for 29 years, and their children; 20-year-old daughter Ella and nine-year-old son Benjamin. The couple's son, Jett, died in 2009 at the age of 16.
