Donald Trump wasn't vibing with Rihanna's halftime performance at last night's Super Bowl and he made sure everyone knew what he thought of the performance.

Rihanna, 34, took to the stage at the State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona during the break at the highly-anticipated event where we saw the Kansas City Chiefs take on Philadelphia Eagles. She performed a medley of 12 of her most iconic songs, including 'Only Girl in the World', 'Rude Boy', 'Work', 'Diamonds', and 'Run This Town' while donning a red bustier and a matching jumpsuit.

During the performance, the R&B icon also announced that she was pregnant again, just under nine months after giving birth to her first child with rapper A$AP Rocky.

But even after leaving it all on the big stage, it seems as though some people just weren't impressed - one of them being former President of the United States, Donald Trump.

Taking to his own social media platform, Truth Social, the business tycoon slammed the performance as an "epic fail."

"EPIC FAIL: Rihanna gave, without question, the single worst Halftime Show in Super Bowl history," he wrote. "This after insulting far more than half of our Nation, which is already in serious DECLINE, with her foul and insulting language."

As per the Independent, the "foul and insulting language" Trump is referring to is most likely a reference to a photo taken in August 2020 in which Rihanna posed in front of a piece of art that featured a car with the words 'F*** Trump' painted on it.

The 76-year-old concluded the post with: "Also, so much for her 'Stylist!'"

However, Trump is the least of Rihanna's worries right now as she may have a bigger battle on her hands.

Social media users have taken to Twitter to post about the problems with her performance. From the possibility of lip-syncing to the lackluster dance moves on stage to her choice of outfit, it seems as though criticism is being hurled at the 'We Found Love' singer from all angles.

"I can’t believe I spent 90 minutes fake watching sports I don’t understand nor care about, only for Rihanna to lip sync all her songs and deliver the most anticlimactic halftime show since Coldplay," wrote one user, while a second added: "@Rihanna has never been much of a performer, compared to the Beyoncés of the world, but this is honestly far worse than I expected it to be. No stagecraft. No interesting outfits. No choreography.

"This is easily the worst halftime show of all time."

Trump's former White House doctor Ronny Jackson also had some things to say about Rihanna prior to the Super Bowl performance writing: "Rihanna spray painted 'F*** Donald Trump' on a car at the Cadillac Ranch in Amarillo.

"She’s made a career of spewing degenerate filth while badmouthing America every chance she gets. Why is the NFL showcasing this crap? Rihanna SHOULD NOT be the halftime performer!!"

Not everyone was a hater though , with some people hailing the Barbados native as a "goddess" for her work.
