Donald Trump has gone down in history as the first former President of the United States to have his mugshot taken - and everyone has been saying the same thing about it.

Trump surrendered to authorities at the Rice Street jail facility in Fulton County in Georgia after facing allegations of illegal activities utilized during the 2020 Presidential Elections.

The jail's website listed Trump as a 6ft 3in white male who weighs 215lbs (97kg), with blonde or strawberry hair and blue eyes, including his inmate number, which is P01135809.

He had to pay a $200,000 bail bond to be released from jail, but not before his mugshot was revealed - and everyone had the same thing to say about it.

In the photo, the former POTUS is seen glaring at the camera with a stern expression on his face, wearing his trademark suit and red tie.

After the picture dropped, the internet was flooded with reactions, with most comparing him to a "villain" from a comic book or movie.

They wrote: "Donald Trump, cartoon villain" and "Trump look like an evil cartoon villain in that mug shot tho lol."

Others added: "I like that Trump chose to look like a villain", "trump wants 2 be a villain saurrr bad omg" and "Here is Trump's mug shot. He looks like a video game villain."

According to BBC News, before Trump headed home from the jail, he said: "I thought the election was a rigged election, a stolen election.

"And I should have every right to do that. As you know, you have many people that you've been watching over the years do the same thing, whether it's Hillary Clinton or Stacey Abrams, or many others."

Prior to turning himself in, the 77-year-old had also reportedly hired a new lead attorney for the Georgia case, with criminal defense attorney Steve Sadow replacing Drew Findling, who is also a criminal defense attorney and had represented Trump as recently as Monday (August 21) when his bond terms were being negotiated.

Sources claimed that Findling had been cut from the team by the end of the week and replaced by Sadow, but the reason for the change was not revealed.

"The president should never have been indicted. He is innocent of all the charges brought against him," Sadow said in a recent statement.

"We look forward to the case being dismissed or, if necessary, an unbiased, open-minded jury finding the president not guilty. Prosecutions intended to advance or serve the ambitions and careers of political opponents of the president have no place in our justice system."

It was also noted that Trump had previously made it clear that he wanted to avoid having a mugshot taken at all costs in order to protect his presidential campaign, after becoming the first former US President in history to be indicted.
