Following Donald Trump's historic mugshot being released, President Joe Biden has made a pretty funny remark about it.

In case you've missed the last few days, Trump voluntarily presented himself to authorities at Georgia's Fulton County's Rice Street jail facility, where he confronted accusations of misconduct linked to the 2020 Presidential Elections.

According to the jail's official website, Trump's profile identifies him as a 6-foot-3-inch tall Caucasian male, tipping the scales at 215 pounds (97 kilograms). The description notes his distinct features: blonde or strawberry blonde hair, and piercing blue eyes. His assigned inmate number is P01135809.

The mugshot has been all over social media, but just in case you need another viewing, here it is:

Following this historic picture, one of which has never been seen of a former President, the current POTUS Joe Biden, who has rarely seen eye to eye with Trump, made a funny quip about it.

Biden is currently vacationing in Lake Tahoe, California, and reporters asked if he had seen the mug shot.

He replied with a chuckle: "I did see it on television."

After being asked his thoughts, the deadpan POTUS quickly remarked: "Handsome guy. Wonderful guy."

Those four words are about as shady as you can get, and people on X (formerly known as Twitter) made their thoughts known about how Biden packed so much meaning into a short statement.

"The ice cold shade delivered by POTUS cold single handedly alter the climate change trajectory," one person quipped, while a second added: "Gotta love President Biden's sense of humor."

Prior to his self-surrender, Trump reportedly enlisted the services of a fresh lead attorney for his legal battles in Georgia. Criminal defense lawyer Steve Sadow took the reins from Drew Findling, who had represented Trump, most notably on Monday (August 21) while negotiations for bond terms were underway.

In a recent statement, Sadow staunchly defended Trump: "The president should never have been indicted. He is innocent of all the charges brought against him.

We look forward to the case being dismissed or, if necessary, an unbiased, open-minded jury finding the president not guilty. Prosecutions intended to advance or serve the ambitions and careers of political opponents of the president have no place in our justice system."

According to BBC News, before Trump headed home from the jail, he said: "I thought the election was a rigged election, a stolen election.

"And I should have every right to do that. As you know, you have many people that you've been watching over the years do the same thing, whether it's Hillary Clinton or Stacey Abrams, or many others."

Securing his release came at the cost of a $200,000 bail bond.
