Barry Manilow is set to celebrate his 80th birthday in a few days - and yet his youthful looks are baffling his fans.
The Tony Awards attracted stars from all across the world last weekend, and amongst them was 79-year-old Manilow looking extremely dapper in a multicolor blazer.
The legendary singer is one of the best-selling artists of all time, as he has sold over 85 million records worldwide and boasts an impressive 13 platinum and six multi-platinum selling albums, per CNBC.
Born in New York in 1943, Manilow displayed a passion for music from an early age, and in the early '70s, his career took a significant turn when he met Bette Midler, who hired him as her pianist and musical director.
This led to the artist gaining exposure to a wider audience, and the rest, as they say, is history.
In 1973 he released a self-titled album, Barry Manilow, which featured the classic hit 'Mandy' which quickly climbed the charts and became Manilow's first number-one hit, launching him into stardom.
He has received Grammy Awards, Emmy Awards, and a Tony Award, among others for his contribution to music, which included sold-out Las Vegas residencies.
Alongside his obvious musical talent, it also seems like Manilow has discovered the fountain of youth, because despite his 80th birthday coming on June 17, he doesn't look a day over 45.
Appearing at the Tony Awards, the singer has skin that many spend thousands on lotions trying to obtain - and this left a few viewers shocked.
Some were very complimentary of the legendary singer, with one person tweeting: "It’s Barry Manilow. He looks great," and a second added: "Who else just googled to see how old is Barry Manilow? Spoiler alert.. he turns 80 this week!"
Manilow recently appeared on This Morning in the UK, where he opened up about his youthful looks, as he explained his secret: "Just luck! It's just blind luck. I'm very old, let's not talk about it - it's just very depressing."
He added: "I think of people who are 80... they look older than I do. They’re retired. You know, that ain’t me. I’m just getting started. I’ve always got the next one."
Whatever his secret is, the singer doesn't seem to be slowing down anytime soon!
