Fans are speculating that love is in the air for Elliot Page who reportedly stepped out in front of cameras with his new partner.
Last year, just two months after coming out as transgender, the 35-year-old Umbrella Academy star announced that he was getting a divorce from his then-wife, Emma Portner.
The couple was married from 2018 to 2021, and while the reasons for their split are unclear, Page's ex-wife was publicly supportive of his transition - calling his existence "a gift in and of itself," per Vanity Fair.
Now, it seems like the actor has officially left the single market - after revealing that he signed up for a dating app this summer - as he attended the LACMA Art+Film Gala with his supposed new partner, Mae Martin.
Check out Page and Martin below:The Juno actor, who uses he/him and they/them pronouns, took to Instagram on Tuesday (November 8) to share a series of photos from the special event.
His first picture in the carousel showed him smiling alongside the 35-year-old comedian, who is non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, in matching dazzling tuxes.
Martin themself further solidified their pairing by also sharing images from the event a couple of days earlier, showing the potential couple posing together in a bathroom.
Alongside the image, the Flight Attendant actor wrote in the caption: "My King @elliotpage took me out. Thank you @gucci for the suit and @lacma for the stunning night."
Needless to say, the posts sparked excitement among fans and also generated lots of supportive comments from several celebrities.
Transgender model Munroe Bergdorf commented under Martin's photo: "This photo is TOO MUCH," while The Good Place actress and activist Jameela Jamil wrote: "Oh my god so hot."
Meanwhile, one fan questioned: "Wait are you two seeing each other?" and another user enthusiastically wrote: "Put a warning label on this duo. Too hot to handle."
Lastly, the third user remarked: "Damn good-looking couple right there!"
Neither actor has commented on the relationship speculation yet, but they have been friends for years. In a New York Times profile in 2012, the Feel Good actor recalled meeting Page at a bar when they were both 19.
The outlet also shared that Page complimented Martin's work ethic in an email, writing: "Mae’s integrity, vulnerability, and intelligence sets them apart, both as a person and as a creative force to be reckoned with."
"When I first saw their work, I was struck by their honest and nuanced depiction of gender and sexuality, and clearly, it is resonating with other people as well," he added.
Furthermore, in July 2021, they both shared a photo of themselves having drinks, with Page captioning the picture: "Chilling with this heartthrob." Also, the following month, Martin posted a photo of the pair getting matching tattoos.
If the rumors are true... they make one attractive couple!
