Now, there are a lot of things actors are forced to do in their careers that any normal person would find a tad bit strange -- and yes, I'm talking about sex scenes.

The thought of having to strip down to your birthday suit and then feign pleasure from different angles in front of an entire camera crew?

Yeah, awkward is an understatement.

Well, just to add the cherry on top of the cake, imagine finding out that you have a chronic illness moments after baring it all on set.

Emma Stone is the unlucky person who had to suffer through that, opening up about the moment she found out she had asthma while filming her iconic movie Easy A.

Per the official NHS website, although asthma is relatively lung common, it is still a chronic condition (something that continues over an extended period of time) that is "a serious condition that can cause a number of problems".

Severe asthma attacks can also be life threatening, which is why patients should always "follow [their] treatment plan and not ignore symptoms if they're getting worse".

Speaking about the moment she experienced an asthma attack while filming, Stone told MTV: "I had a little asthma attack, without any prior knowledge that I had asthma, during the scene where we had to jump up and down for hours and hours screaming and yelling on the bed."

"Oh, for the love, I can't even simulate sex without dying," the Oscar-winning actress added.

Stone branded the incident as “humiliating” as it happened early on in production, wondering whether the people on set would judge her for it.

"Here's what it's going to be like the whole movie, as I'm breathing into an oxygen tank," she continued. "The crew was like, 'She's going to be a real blast. Wow. Amazing. A 20-year-old having an asthma attack.'"

But thankfully, the embarrassing fiasco did not stop the 35-year-old from continuing with production.

This is not the last time an issue would crop up on set for her as she revealed another issue she suffered on set while filming Crazy, Stupid, Love with co-star Ryan Gosling in 2011.

During an interview on The Graham Norton Show, the actress opened up about the time she and Gosling were asked about their failed attempt to remake the iconic lifting scene from Dirty Dancing, but being lifted over one's head was a phobia for Stone.

"When I was about seven years old, I was in gymnastics class, and I was on these parallel bars that were about 6 feet off the ground," she recalled. "I felt myself beginning to tip forward and I put my arms like this, and fell six feet to the ground."

Big yikes.

Beyond her fears, Stone has gone on to accomplish amazing things in her career including winning including an Academy Award for Best Actress for her performance in La La Land.
