James McAvoy recently opened up about one of the most embarrassing injuries he suffered while filming a sex scene.
Filming sex scenes can be awkward for any actor - from having to wear modesty patches to cover their bits, to pretending to get frisky while a crew watches on, they're not usually as much fun as they appear on screen.
However, most actors don't end up injuring themselves while trying to film love scenes - but McAvoy did just that during one of his most risqué on-screen moments.
Speaking on an episode of the 'Restless Natives' podcast with Martin Compston and Gordon Smart, the 44-year-old British actor recalled an embarrassing moment that happened on set while filming an intense "orgy" scene.

He continued: "It was hardcore dancing, everybody is on drugs, we had all drunk loads of whisky and there was loads of kissing, groping, and disrobing."
The star then went on to detail how things started getting hot and heavy with a fellow actor.
"There's this amazing Spanish actor called Almudena Amor and we had to go at it with each other," he said. "We had to be funny with it but properly go for it and we were both in the same headspace. So, we get to this improvised orgy and she’s bigger than me - she's like 5ft 11in."
McAvoy stands at a humble 5'7", but in this house, we stan our short kings.
Anyway, things only got more complicated for the X-Men alum as he continued trying to sell the scene.
"At one point I was holding her upside down and we were doing some weird thing and somebody grabbed me on the back of the neck to start biting my neck," he said, before stating that the sudden sensation made him lose his balance.
"I just decked it and smashed my knee real hard on the ground. I think that’s the only time I’ve been injured making a film," he added.

In a 2017 interview with The Talks in partnership with Rolex, the star admitted that the life might not be sustainable now that he has other things to focus on too.
"I would love to do this for the rest of my life, I love it, I really, really love it and I hope that every job allows me to love it," he said. "When I’m doing it, there’s nothing else. You get up at 6:00 am and you don’t get home until eight or nine and then you do it all again and it’s so exhausting - you have no life when you work."
He continued: "If I’m spending half my life doing that, then half my life is entirely that. But the other half is bringing up my kid and being a stay-at-home dad. So, comparatively, acting is just my job. And I think that that approach makes it easy to separate myself from roles.
"I’m relatively mentally healthy and I think it’s hard to separate yourself from roles when you’re not," he added.
