The Gladiator 2 trailer has finally dropped, and fans are a bit concerned for Pedro Pascal's character.

If you're anything like me, then you have been waiting for what feels like your entire life for some sort of addition to Gladiator.

When it was announced that a sequel was coming, my excitement was mixed with nervousness that it might detract from how good the first one was.

However, after seeing the trailer that was released today, my apprehension has gone and I just need to watch this movie right now.

Take a look for yourself: (Contains violent scenes)

If you haven't seen the first movie featuring Russell Crowe, then go and do that immediately.

Not only does it look integral to the story of the second, as we see the return of Lucius and Lucilla, but it's also an incredible watch.

Anyway, as you can imagine people are VERY excited to see Pedro Pascal in the new movie, because he is one of Hollywood's most sought-after actors at the minute.

However, fans have noticed one detail in the trailer that has left them concerned, and all making the same joke.

It all ties in with his appearance in Game of Thrones as Oberyn Martell.

If you're familiar with the series you'll know how it ends for him, but if you aren't, let's just say his head was left in a pretty bad condition.

So now people have seen Pascal running into battle without a helmet in Gladiator 2, they have some concerns.

One person posted a GIF of Aaron Paul looking extremely stressed, with the caption: "Watching Pedro Pascal go into another arena battle once again with no helmet."

A second person said: "Pedro still not wearing a helmet, didn't learn from his GOT days."

A third person added: "PEDRO NO HELMET IN AN ARENA ? GETTING BAD FLASHBACKS."

Despite the fact that Pascal looks like he's playing the antagonist in the movie, it's clear that fans will be hoping he doesn't get his head caved in.

As a history nerd, I'm interested to see how they adapt the emperor's Geta and Caracalla in the movie, with the former being played by Stranger Things star Joseph Quinn.

Joaquin Phoenix played Emperor Commodus in the first film, and for obvious reasons won't be in the second, but it's clear that Ridley Scott isn't afraid to take liberties when it comes to rewriting history.

But it's hard to complain when he makes his movies so incredibly epic!

Historical sources reveal that Geta and Caracalla were brothers who had to rule Rome together but didn't exactly see eye to eye.

In the end, Caracalla killed Geta in the arms of their mother... which seems incredibly brutal.

It's important to note that Pascal's character, Marcus Acacius, appears to be completely fictional.

Gladiator 2 hits theaters worldwide on November 15.
