We've made no secret about how much we love Post Malone, and the rapper's offbeat and quirky personality has produced a shower of memes over the years. After winning an American Music Award for 'Favorite Album - Rap/Hip-Hop', many people have wondered what's next on the horizon for Post.

But now it seems as though he's making a foray from the world of music into movies, having landed himself a part in a Netflix thriller. Now, the trailer for the flick has officially dropped on social media, giving us a glimpse of the Post's performance alongside Ted actor Mark Wahlberg.

Take a look at the trailer for the upcoming movie below:

The movie (entitled Spenser Confidential) is an adaptation of the best-selling novel Wonderland by Ace Atkins and on the Spenser character created by Robert B. Parker, in which Wahlberg plays the part of an ex-cop sent to prison for a crime he didn't commit, who is forced to team up with a boxing coach (played by Winston Duke) to investigate the deaths of his old colleagues on the force.

The official synopsis for the movie states: "Spenser (Mark Wahlberg) – an ex-cop better known for making trouble than solving it – just got out of prison and is leaving Boston for good."

It continues: "But first he gets roped into helping his old boxing coach and mentor, Henry (Alan Arkin), with a promising amateur. That’s Hawk (Winston Duke), a brash, no-nonsense MMA fighter convinced he’ll be a tougher opponent than Spenser ever was."

It adds: "When two of Spenser’s former colleagues turn up murdered, he recruits Hawk and his foul-mouthed ex-girlfriend, Cissy (Iliza Shlesinger), to help him investigate and bring the culprits to justice."

The trailer features Post playing a fellow convict in the prison Spenser begins the film in, although we'll just have to wait and see how much screentime Post ultimately receives. The movie is due to be released on Netflix on March 6, 2020.
