Fans have been left "paranoid for days" after watching Netflix's latest horror movie drop and this one's bound to keep you on your toes.

Now, with Halloween right around the corner, we're looking for some spooky flicks to get our claws into to really help set the mood for the rest of the month, and let's just say, Netflix has heard us loud and clear.

The streaming platform recently dropped an underrated movie that people just can't stop talking about, with one person even going on to state that they were "paranoid for days after watching [it.]"

Check out the trailer:

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, Netflix made an announcement, writing: "It Follows -- a vital spooky season watch -- is now streaming...' alongside a snapshot of a poster for the film.

Hundreds of social media users took to the comments to express their excitement at the good news.

"IT FOLLOWS IS A MASTERPIECE," wrote one user, while another stated: "One of my favorite scary movies! when it gets super tall and skinny gets me every time."

A third even described the movie as "excellent."

However, those who hadn't yet watched it had a few questions, with this X user writing: "Hope it’s good! These days they say spooky and it turns out funny! Looking for some goosebumps, let’s see..."

So for those of you that have never heard of the horror, It Follows tells the story of "a young woman is followed by an unknown supernatural force after a seemingly innocent sexual encounter" as per it's official IMDb description.

Maika Monroe stars as the main character, alongside other notable actors such as Keir Gilchrist Olivia Luccardi and is directed by David Robert Mitchell.

On Rotten Tomatoes, the movie secured itself a pretty impressive 95% on the Tomtometer, despite the audience rating falling short at 66% earning itself a decent score of 3.5 out of 5.

And if you're still not convinced to give it a watch, then let's see what the critics are saying.

Peter Bradshaw of The Guardian gave the movie a 5 out of 5, describing the work that went into the project as "sensational."

"There is a moment when Jay, at the height of her fear, just gazes down at some strands of grass that she has placed over her skin, and there is a something dumbstruck in the way Mitchell’s camera captures this simple image: it looks weird, alien, almost evil, like everything else around her," he wrote in his review. "Mitchell brings off some sensational setpieces of fear and suspense. I can’t remember when I was last so royally freaked out in the cinema."

Simon Abrams' review for RogerEbert.com also states: "[The] concept is far more unnerving than any of the film's more traditional scare scenes, though those are pretty good too" before adding: "...What's most disquieting about "It Follows" is the way it presents sex as neither abnormal, nor beneficial. By contrast, sex in "It Follows" indiscriminately draws pre-existing emotions out, like a cruel genie that can never be returned to his lamp."

It Follows is now available to watch on Netflix.
