If anybody needed proof that Matthew Perry was just as funny as his character Chandler Bing, they only need to look at this one blooper from Friends.

Over the weekend, the sad news broke that Perry had passed away at the age of 54.

TMZ and the Los Angeles Times were the first outlets to report that the beloved Friends star had been found unresponsive in the hot tub of his home in LA.

BBC News has since reported that a post-mortem conducted on Perry yielded inconclusive results, and authorities are currently awaiting toxicology test outcomes. Additionally, no evident signs of trauma were noted, as verified by an LA Police representative to CBS News.

On Sunday, the LA County Medical Examiner's office provided an update, indicating the case was pending further review. This often suggests that while the autopsy has been carried out, additional information is still required.

As a means of honoring Perry, many of his fans have been taking to social media to share their favorite moments from his career - with countless videos of his greatest scenes on Friends being highlighted.

However, Perry wasn't just a comedy genius when following a script as Chandler Bing - as one outtake from the show proves.

We all remember the iconic "Pivot!" scene from season five's 'The One with the Cop' - in which Ross (David Schwimmer) enlists the help of Rachel (Jennifer Aniston) and Chandler to help him move his new couch up the stairwell in his apartment building.

The scene we all saw on TV shows the three friends struggling to navigate the couch up the narrow stairwell, despite Ross' repeated orders to simply "pivot" the piece of furniture. The big laugh comes when Chandler has enough and shouts at Ross to "shut up! Shut up! SHUT UUUP!"

However, what some of you may not have seen is the hilarious blooper that was captured by the studio cameras during the filming of the scene. Check it out below:

After the footage was shared on X (formerly known as Twitter), fans quickly pointed out how Matthew Perry's reaction made the blooper even funnier than the final take.

"Seems only right to share one of my favorite Chandler moments," one person tweeted. "Even funnier than the original scene if that’s possible! Matthew Perry’s face when he starts laughing is epic."

A second tweeted: "The only thing funnier than the famously hilarious pivot scene is the blooper take of the famously hilarious pivot scene [...] Matthew Perry was the best Friend of them all."

On YouTube, one fan wrote: "This is how I choose to remember Matthew, the one who made everyone laugh, but in this moment couldn't stop laughing himself. Rest peacefully."
