April Fool's Day is often the perfect time to get hilarious revenge on others in the form of harmless pranks and jokes.

Though, not everyone manages to pull it off well.

In fact, Heidi Klum and Sofia Vergara are among those suffering the negative effects of pranking others, after the duo received some pretty divided views on their "tacky" prank.

Klum, 48, pretended she was pregnant, with 50-year-old Vergara playfully blowing a kiss to the German supermodel's fake baby bump. Klum's fellow America's Got Talent judge Howie Mandel posted a snap of the moment to his Instagram, writing: "Congratulations @heidklum. Co-workers. @sofiavergara and I are the first to know."

Vergara then posted the same snap on her social media, adding: "I'm going to be an aunt!!" Klum eventually revealed that her bump was actually prosthetic, but by then the damage was already done, because many people had taken issue with the lighthearted prank.

"Very tacky to post something like this while there are so many struggling with infertility," one user wrote.

"Not a pregnancy joke for April Fools.. Wow. I'm honestly disappointed," someone else wrote.

"If Heidi is really pregnant, I'm very happy for her and Tom, but if it was just a joke, I don't think it's so great that people make such a joke because there are many women who want a child and it doesn't work out," a further user stated.

At the same time, many people who had suffered from infertility or miscarriages were able to see that the post was clearly a joke, and weren't offended by it. "Meh. I struggled with 5 years of infertility, several losses along the way and ultimately fertility treatment to have a successful live birth. Pregnancy jokes don't offend me [...] guess I'm the odd one out. Don't speak for all of us," one person wrote.

"I have struggled to get pregnant. Been trying for 13 years with no luck. But I don’t get offended at this. Coz we all need to stop being over sensitive at every damn thing. Let people do what they want to do and your life will become more peaceful. Geez," someone else added.

"you guys need to chill PLEASE [...]," another comment read. "'I lost my baby and dealt with infertility etc.' Stop. it's not targeted at you and their intention was not to make fun of infertility and miscarriages. The world doesn't revolve around you. If you don't like it, scroll. It's a damn good joke and if you can't take it your loss. People are so sensitive these days. People can't make jokes without others bringing up depressing topics."
