Kourtney Kardashian has hit back at critics who believe she's "too old" to be having a baby.
The Lemme founder and reality TV star shared the joyful news of her fourth pregnancy in a heartwarming gesture back in June.
Kardashian had been in the crowd at one of husband Travis Barker's live shows, and was spotted holding a sign reminiscent of Blink-182's video for the 1999 hit 'All the Small Things' that read, "Travis, I'm pregnant!"
However, the joy was briefly overshadowed after she took to Instagram to post moments from that night, as many comments zoomed in on Kardashian’s age.
And in a new candid interview with Vanity Fair Italia, Kourtney revealed that the celebrity couple's path to conception wasn't smooth. Despite multiple attempts at in vitro fertilization, they faced several setbacks. Kourtney recalls telling Barker: "If we’re meant to have a baby, then it’s just going to happen." True to her belief, when they stopped pushing against the tide, nature took its course. "When we stopped forcing the process, then it happened," she revealed.
And touching on the comments addressing the fact that she is 44 and Barker is 47, Kourtney's resiliently said: "Those comments don’t affect me." Unfazed, she added, "To those who make them, I just say: how dare you question God’s plan?"

With three children, Mason, Penelope, and Reign Disick from her previous relationship with Scott Disick, Kourtney is no stranger to motherhood. However, she disclosed in her October cover story interview that her current pregnancy feels distinct.
She mentioned her fondness for the experience, saying: "I like being pregnant. I’m obsessed with the idea of being pregnant!" Yet, this time around came with certain challenges she hadn't faced before, like a plethora of restrictions including no workouts, Pilates, caffeine, or even plane trips.
But the most alarming moment came back in September, when Kardashian had to undergo "urgent fetal surgery" and was rushed to hospital. This urgency was indicated by Blink-182 when they postponed their Europe tour due to a pressing family issue concerning drummer Barker.

At the time, Kardashian revealed in a heartwrenching Instagram post: "I don’t think anyone who hasn’t been through a similar situation can begin to understand that feeling of fear." But she was able to express boundless gratitude towards her medical team, writing: "I will be forever grateful to my incredible doctors for saving our baby's life."
While Kourtney chose to remain private about the specifics of the hospital visit, her focus since has been solely on welcoming her baby boy.
The reality star emphasized the shift in her perspective, revealing: "Now I talk to the child every day, have a positive mindset, keep my head straight and say a lot of prayers."
For Kardashian, this pregnancy has been a lesson in gratitude. Though she once "took the pregnancy for granted", she's now cherishing every moment leading up to her baby's arrival.
