James Corden has grossed out viewers by revealing his unsanitary hair washing routine.
The Late Late Show host revealed that he only washes his hair "every two months", adding that normally he barely spends more than a few minutes in the shower.
Corden admitted to his hygiene habits during a segment on his talk show, during which he spoke about Los Angeles residents being asked to cut their shower time amidst water shortages.
The host joked that taking four minutes off his shower wouldn't be an issue, exclaiming incredulously: "Cut it by four minutes - how long are people spending in the shower?"
When he was told that the average shower length is 10 minutes, Corden was flabbergasted. "Oh my god. I’m in and out in three or four minutes," said the 43-year-old host.
Check out the conversation below:After ribbing some of his Late Late Show colleagues, they hit back at him for not using soap or washing his hair."I use soap but I don’t wash my hair. I wash it every two months," Corden admitted.
"That is a true story. I do not think we are nasty," he added.
The divisive segment comes just weeks after Corden told The Late Late Show audiences that he would be leaving the program for good next year.
During an episode last month, he said that leaving was "the hardest decision I've ever had to make."
The actor's voice shook and there were tears in his eyes as he reflected on his time on the show. "Seven and a half years ago I started hosting this show, and there's no other way to put it: it has changed my life," he said, adding: "I am so proud of what we've achieved, it's been beyond my wildest, wildest dreams."
Corden then announced that he had signed on for another year of hosting duties. But after the crowd's cheers had died down, he continued: "This will be my last year hosting The Late Late Show."
He went on to explain his decision to leave, saying: "I never saw [the show] as my final destination, and I never want this show to overstay its welcome in any way. I always want to love making it and I really think in a year from now that will be a good time to move on and see what else might be out there."
