Lizzo has had enough.
The Grammy-award-winning musician has recently clapped back at body-shaming comments that people seem to be constantly leaving under her social media posts.
Wearing a gorgeous two-piece bathing suit on the beach, Lizzo told her 13 million followers that "the discourse around bodies is officially tired."
"I have seen comments go from: 'Oh my gosh, I liked you when you were thick. Why did you lose weight?'; to 'Oh my gosh, why did you get a BBL [Brazilian butt lift]? I liked your body before'; to 'Oh my gosh, you're so big. You need to lose weight, but for your health'; to 'Oh my gosh, you're so little. You need to get a** or ti**ies or something;' to 'Oh my gosh, why did she get all that work done? It's just too much work,'" the 34-year-old flute-playing musician continued.
She then paused and asked: "Are we OK?!", before continuing.
"Do you see the delusion? Do we realize that artists are not here to fit into your beauty standards? Artists are here to make art. And this body is art."
As she moved her hands over her body, proudly showing off her figure, she added: "And I'm going to do whatever I want with this body. I wish that comments [cost] y'all money. So we can see how much time we are f****** wasting on the wrong thing.
"Can we leave that s*** back there, please?"
Louder for those in the back, Lizzo!
Watch the video below:And this isn't the first time the 'Good As Hell' singer has addressed body-shaming comments.
Back in October, the singer once again addressed comments about her weight following a Fox News interview by rapper Ye (formerly Kanye West)
"When Lizzo loses 10 pounds and announces it, the bots — that's a term for like telemarketer callers on Instagram — they attack her for losing weight, because the media wants to put out a perception that being overweight is the new goal when it's actually unhealthy," he said during the segment.
He continued: "Let's get aside the fact of whether it's fashion and vogue, which is not. Or if someone thinks is attractive, to each his own.
"It's actually clinically unhealthy, and for people to, to promote that... it's demonic."
After hearing of the comments, Lizzo took the opportunity to address them during a concert in Toronto, Canada, as per PEOPLE.
"I feel like everybody in America got my motherf****** name in their motherf******* mouth for no motherf******* reason.
"I’m minding my fat Black beautiful business," she added - to which the crowd cheered.
Others including American comedian and talk show host Loni Love came out in support of Lizzo, tweeting: "Body positivity is living your life on your terms. Some in society want to say you can't live because you don't look like what they think you should look like..times have changed..love and good vibes always to @lizzo".
As if we're in 2023 and we're still out here commenting on people's bodies; that s*** is totally 2018.
Get. Over. It.
