Michael J. Fox has recently introduced his new pet to his fans and they just can't get enough!

In an adorable snapshot shared on Instagram on Monday, the 61-year-old showed off his new addition to the family - his new puppy named Blue.

The photo consisted of the actor hugging the fluffy fur baby as both of them posed for the camera.

Alongside the snapshot, he wrote: "Hey Blue, welcome to your new home!"

Of course, his 1.8 million fans couldn't help but gush over the announcement, with many of them taking to the comments to leave kid messages.

"It's the world's luckiest fur baby!!"

"There’s not a lot of things in life that makes us as happy as when we have pets," this user added.

And of course, we can't not mention all the comments - and there were hundreds of them - about the new pup looking like Fox's Back To The Future side-kick, Einstein.

I mean, I can see the resemblance...

Blue also made her debut on Fox's wife's Instagram page too.

Tracy Pollan posted a short video of the new pet playing with another dog on her Stories, giving fans another sneak peek of just how adorable and playful Blue is.

The news comes just under two years after Fox's other dog, Gus, sadly passed away in April 2021.

Taking to Instagram at the time, the Stuart Little actor made the announcement about his loss, sharing a photo of the beloved dog with the caption: "Gus — great dog and loyal friend, we’ll miss you."

The 12-year-old dog acted as a source of strength and comfort during the most difficult times throughout the star's Parkinson's journey, reported PEOPLE.

"I didn't rescue Gus," the actor wrote in his 2020 memoir, No Time Like the Future: An Optimist Considers Mortality, also referring to the pooch as a "wonder dog".

"You can argue that he rescued me, but he'd be too modest to make that claim," he added.

In the year prior to his death, Fox also said that Gus had a drastic impact on his life during a special episode of The Pet Project.

"You know that no matter your situation, no matter what you feel, this animal is with you and is connected to you, and you feel," said Fox, who first went public with his Parkinson's diagnosis in 1998. "It's a force multiplier.

"Your instinct when you have a chronic illness is to sometimes isolate and make your world as small as possible so you don't have much to deal with, but a dog will open you up," he added.

While no other pup could ever replace Gus, it's nice to see that Fox is still open to loving a new pet.

We can't wait to see what the pair get up to!
