MrBeast has said that he put his girlfriend through "the test" when he met her to ensure that she would be a suitable match for him.
MrBeast - whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson - is a YouTuber famous for his high-budget videos. He currently owns the fourth most subscribed channel on the website and the highest by any individual.
The content creator reportedly first gained significant traction in 2017 after posting a video of himself counting to 100,000 within 24 hours. He allegedly spends $8 million a month on his videos, per Insider.
But how does the millionaire cope on the dating scene? According to the man himself, he put his current girlfriend "through the wringer" before they began dating.
Speaking on the podcast Flagrant, MrBeast explained that when he meets new women they have to: "Go through these tests because I don't really get along with women."
When the YouTuber met his current girlfriend, Thea Booysen, she had to be put through "the tests" too. He describes that he has no interest in women who aren't "obsessive", have no hobbies, or that don't love learning.
He grilled his current girlfriend on her life, exploring whether she ticks the boxes. "If I meet a girl that's beautiful and we have these 10 traits, we're gonna be literally best friends," he said.
Thea appeared to get the green light when she informed MrBeast that she was an author, consumes documentary-style content, and is getting a neuroscience degree "just for fun". He confirmed from this conversation that she was someone with hobbies who is always looking to better herself.
When he knew he was interested, he messaged Thea asking if he could read her book, and then began asking her questions about it just for an excuse to talk to her until the next time they could hang out.
The YouTuber dubbed himself as a nerd and hinted that his girlfriend falls into the same category, claiming that their idea of a date night is to take an IQ test and to see whether they can get higher results after studying it the first time around.
Thea currently lives in South Africa and is unable to get a visa in the United States, so the millionaire YouTuber takes a "30-hour flight" to see her.
