Billie Eilish's mom shares emotional message after Justin Bieber left singer in tears with sweet Coachella moment
During his second Coachella performance, Justin Bieber brought talented musician and lifelong belieber, Billie Eilish, up on stage, and her mom has publicly thanked him for making her daughter’s “dreams come true”.
It is no secret that Eilish has been a super-fan of the ‘Baby’ singer since she was a teenager, so this was an extremely exciting moment for her.
As the ‘Birds of a Feather’ singer was pushed onto the stage on Saturday night by Justin’s wife Hailey Bieber, she dropped to the floor in sheer astonishment that she was about to perform with her idol.
He carefully dragged her up and then performed his song ‘One Less Lonely Girl’ to her while hugging her.
Hours after the performance, Eilish posted a picture of her watery eyes with the caption “Can’t stop crying” on her Instagram story.
Then, on Monday, the pop star’s mom, actress and activist Maggie Baird, shared a heartfelt post thanking Bieber for the opportunity he gave his daughter.
Beneath a carousel of pictures and videos from the headline performance, Baird wrote: “One of the most touching moments ever. It sounds crazy, but we watch our children develop these deep deep connections to artists who move them and usually there’s nothing in our power to do,”
“But we buy them records and maybe buy them a ticket to a concert (or a movie of a concert in our case because we couldn’t afford to see an actual concert). Watching this crazy unimaginable dream come true over many years is so incredible.”
The mother-of-two explained that Eilish has been a fan of Bieber since she was a teenager, and now they are really good friends.
She concluded her post with, “I’m so grateful to Justin Bieber for the kindness he has shown Billie and to our whole family and to Hailey, who makes so many things wonderful and possible.”
The performance was a real full-circle moment for the friends, who first met at Coachella in 2019.
Just a few months after their first meeting, Bieber was featured on the remix of Billie's hit song "Bad Guy," and the track’s artwork was a picture of young Eilish in a colorful dress in her childhood bedroom, with a wall of Bieber posters behind her.
