Selena Gomez reportedly had a panic attack before her 'shaky' AMAs performance
This year's American Music Awards were pretty damn sensational, and the clips from the glitzy red carpet event have already provoked a lot of discussion on social media.
A veritable smorgasbord of celebrities were in attendance at the ceremony held at the Microsoft Theatre in LA, including Taylor Swift (named Artist of the Decade), Billie Eilish, and Post Malone.
Take a look at Selena's 'shaky' performance:
One of the biggest talking points of the night was Selena Gomez, who took to the stage to perform a stirring rendition of two new tracks from her upcoming album. While some people appreciated the performance, others thought Selena was somewhat off-key.
But now an insider source claims that the former Disney Channel star (who has been open about her mental health struggles) reportedly suffered a debilitating anxiety attack as a result of stage fright before performing.
Selena previously spoke about her mental health in this interview with Ellen:
The unnamed source allegedly told People magazine: "She definitely had a panic attack. She was nervous. She hasn’t been on stage in two years, and it’s an important song in her career. She really wanted to deliver... She had fun afterward with her friends and family and was in good spirits."
Selena later took to Instagram to post a picture of her red carpet outfit (a lime-green gown) which she captioned: "Feels good to be back. Thank you to my entire team and to my fans that stand by me. All of this is for you and because of you. Excited for this chapter."

However, this wasn't the only thing that people noticed about the actress-turned singer. Many fans spotted that Selena's been freshly-inked, with a brand-new thigh tattoo.
