Nicki Minaj has shared her perspective on the body positivity movement and why she disapproves of it.

The 40-year-old hitmaker graced the cover of Vogue magazine's December issue and stunned in an elegant cream satin dress with a ruched accent on one hip and a draped neckline.

The 'Super Bass' rapper - whose real name is Onika Tanya Maraj-Petty - was photographed by Norman Jean Roy, and donned several other elegant looks such as a sheer yellow gown that showed off curves, and a burgundy turtleneck with coordinating underwear.

As part of the sprawling interview, the best-selling MC opened up about body positivity and revealed that she denounces the movement because it promotes "unhealthy bodies."

"I’m not in favor of body positivity if it means unhealthy bodies. That’s bull. It’s not believable, so let's stop pretending," she told Vogue.

The 'Anaconda' star then spoke about her own journey with her body image and admitted that she recently had a breast reduction, stating that she "loves" it.

"I used to want a bigger butt, and now I look back and realize how silly that was. So - love your curves, and love your non-curves. There’s nothing wrong with any of it," she noted.

Minaj expressed that no matter your shape or color, you need to embrace yourself and your body, while simultaneously acknowledging that it's not easy, not even for her.

"I just looked at a video that I posted on Instagram when I was 25, and I would f***ing pay to look like that right now," she said. "But today I can say that I’m at peace with who I am and how I look.

"I have to say this as a Black woman, though. I’ve made certain choices for my son, to not give him sweets and candy and juices, because of illnesses like diabetes that run in our community," Minaj continued.

The 'Starships' singer concluded by sharing an inspiring message for those who might be questioning how they look in comparison to someone else. "I’ve had a lot of time to figure myself out. The idea of accepting what you can’t change - it just never clicked with me before. Now I understand."

Minaj is currently working on her fifth album, Pink Friday 2, the follow-up to her incredible 2010 debut.

The album is set to be released in December, and she has already unveiled the project's first official single 'Last Time I Saw You' - which she described to Vogue as a "happy-sad" song.

"I’m not saying I want this to be a sad song. Actually, I want people to feel happy when they hear it. Happy-sad," she said. "Then again, look at Adele. That woman has made me cry a million times, yet I want more."

As the best-selling female rapper of all time, with a career spanning an incredible 13 years, Minaj shared that the new album signifies a return to her original style.

"When I revisit much of my music, I think, 'Where was the real me in it?' So, for this album, I've gone back to my old approach," she reflected.

Pink Friday 2 will be released on December 8.
