Ozzy Osbourne has revealed a pretty filthy habit he used to do on stage - which makes Black Sabbath's controversial antics look very different indeed.

The legendary rockstar, 74, is known for hitting the headlines for his wild antics, whether that be snorting a line of ants with Motley Crue or the infamous bat incident...

But it turns out that while he was belting out Black Sabbath hits and keeping stadiums of people rocking, he was probably also covered in pee as he would just soil himself while on stage.

Ozzy made the grim admission during a recent episode of The Osbournes podcast, revealing that as he was "wet anyway" from throwing water around on stage, he thought nothing of just urinating on himself too.

Speaking to wife Sharon Osbourne and their son Jack and daughter Kelly, Ozzy admitted that he would usually just wet himself on stage rather than taking a loo break or using a bucket that had been prepared as a makeshift toilet.

He admitted: "When I was on stage, I used to go, 'Oh f**k it', and just p**s. 'Cause I was wet anyway from throwing water around."

Ozzy would regularly douse himself and the crowd with water during the gigs - which, to be fair, is the perfect camouflage for hiding that you've wet yourself.

Sharon was just as grossed out as most listeners, responding: "Oh lord, thanks for sharing!"

Son Jack confirmed: "I remember the p**s bucket in your quick change," to which Kelly responded: "Well that was more of a dumpy bucket."

Nice.

Here's hoping Ozzy managed to grab a shower before heading to an afterparty after his shows because that's just not pleasant for anyone concerned if not.

Ozzy previously addressed the infamous incident when he bit the head off a live bat on stage in 1982, revealing that he thought it was made of rubber when a fan threw it at him on stage.

He wrote in his memoir I Am Ozzy: "Immediately, though, something felt wrong. Very wrong. For a start, my mouth was instantly full of this warm, gloopy liquid, with the worst aftertaste you could ever imagine.

"I could feel it staining my teeth and running down my chin. Then the head in my mouth twitched."

Ozzy also spoke out about the claims made by Motley Crue in their recent biopic The Dirt that he had snorted a line of ants while high on drugs.

His son Jack asked him if it actually happened on the podcast, to which Ozzy responded: "They say it, yeah."

Jack then turned to his mom for clarification but Sharon told him: "I was not there, thank God. I used to try and stay away from Motley when they were with Ozzy. I say no [he didn't]."

Ozzy then interrupted to say: "Yes! Yes, I did - I was there, I did it, in my nostril. Two."

Jack then asked: "Did you feel them crawling around in your sinuses? Did you get an ant drip?", leaving Ozzy chuckling.

He then told his son he was drunk at the time of the incident but confirmed it had indeed happened.

Ozzy also previously revealed the incident that made him swear off taking acid after he found himself talking to a horse.

He explained: "At that time in America, people were very fond of lacing your drinks with acid. I didn’t care. I used to swallow handfuls of tabs at a time. The end of it came when we got back to England.

"I took 10 tabs of acid then went for a walk in a field. I ended up standing there talking to this horse for about an hour. In the end, the horse turned round and told me to f**k off. That was it for me."
