Ozzy Osbourne, the Prince of Darkness, has revealed that he's in a "lot of pain" due to recent medical issues, and he's had to undergo further surgery.

The 74-year-old former Black Sabbath frontman shared these revelations during a recent episode of his family's brand-new podcast, titled The Osbournes.

During the candid conversation, Ozzy admitted to his wife Sharon, son Jack, and daughter Kelly that he is currently enduring a significant amount of pain and discomfort. He also disclosed that he is preparing for a fourth surgical procedure and the need for an epidural injection.

Ozzy's health woes stem from a series of unfortunate incidents over the past few years, beginning with an accident at home in 2019 that exacerbated injuries he had sustained during a bike crash in 2003, which he was lucky to survive.

When questioned about his health by his son Jack, Ozzy revealed: "My lower back is... I’m going for an epidural soon because what’s happening, what they’ve discovered is the neck has been fixed, below the neck there’s two vertebrae where the bike hit me and disintegrated, there’s nothing left of them."

Jack asked: “Are they fusing discs?”

To which Ozzy replied: "I don’t know what the f**k they’re doing," with Sharon chiming in that she wasn’t sure about the technical terminology.

Ozzy then offered a glimpse into the immense pain he's currently experiencing, saying: "All I know is right now, I’m in a lot of pain, I’m in a lot of discomfort."

As the discussion continued, Jack inquired about Ozzy's upcoming "other surgery," which will be his fourth, while Kelly raised the possibility of seeking a second opinion.

Ozzy said: "I said to the doctor yesterday, you know what I’ve heard, which I have... people have discs replaced that are worked on and they become the strongest things in the bone."

Ozzy explained that his condition involves the separation of two discs in his back and the detachment of the muscles in his shoulders from his skeleton. This has led to his characteristic forward-leaning posture, as he described it as though gravity is pulling his head forward.

Earlier this year, the Prince of Darkness revealed that he would be unable to perform at the Power Trip festival in October due to ongoing health issues.

Taking to Instagram, Ozzy wrote: "As painful as this is, I’ve had to make the decision to bow out of performing on Power Trip in October. My original plan was to return to the stage in the summer of 2024, and when the offer to do this show came in, I optimistically moved forward."

He continued: "Unfortunately, my body is telling me that I’m just not ready yet and I am much too proud to have the first show that I do in nearly five years be half-a**ed. The band that will be replacing me on Power Trip will be announced shortly. They are personal friends of mine and I can promise that you will not be disappointed."

Ozzy concluded the heartbreaking message: "Above all, I want to thank my fans, my band, and my crew for their unconditional loyalty and continual support. I love you all and I will see you soon. God Bless, Ozzy."

We wish Ozzy all the best with his health journey.
