Pamela Anderson has revealed that her sons were horrified when she decided to ditch her makeup as well as her glam team and embrace her natural beauty.

The former Playboy model made headlines back in September last year after appearing at Isabel Marant Womenswear Spring/Summer 2024 during the coveted fashion event with a bare face.

Anderson wore a striking yellow shift dress for the fashion event but chose to keep her long blonde hair loose and not wear any make-up as she attended the shows.

Speaking to PEOPLE in an interview after the iconic moment, the 56-year-old said that she didn't expect the moment to garner as much attention as it did, but she was glad it became a "positive message."

"I'm makeup-free at home, so why not for Paris Fashion Week?", she told the outlet. "I really didn't know anyone would notice it, but I'm glad it became a positive message."

Now, in a new interview with Highsnobiety, the star has opened up about the reactions of those a little closer to home.

While referring to her no-makeup trend as a "healing experience", Anderson delved into her more natural regime now which involves rosehip oil, Epsom salts, olive oils, and shea butter.

It also involved getting rid of her "glam team" much to her sons' surprise.

"My boys were like, 'Mom, you must have a glam team,'" Pamela said. "And my agents were like, 'You have to have a glam team! Where's the stylist?' I go, 'I know how to put a dress on myself. I don’t need someone buttoning up my blouse. I got this.' And they were just horrified."

Anderson shares two children, Brandon Thomas and Dylan Jagger, with her former husband Tommy Lee.

Despite her sons being a little wary of the move, other opinions were highly positive.

After seeing snapshots of the icon rocking her natural beauty at the event last year, celebrities such as Jamie Lee Curtis and Scarlett Johansson spoke of Anderson's courageousness.

Taking to Instagram, Curtis posted a photo of the star alongside the caption: "THE NATURAL BEAUTY REVOLUTION HAS OFFICIALLY BEGUN! @pamelaanderson in the middle of fashion week with so many pressures and postures, and and and, this woman showed up and claimed her seat at the table with nothing on her face. I am so impressed and floored by this act of courage and rebellion."

Johansson also added that she thought the look was a "powerful message."

"I think it is definitely different to see somebody that's in the public eye, a woman in the public eye, go to a fashion show or big event with no makeup on. It's just very different from what we're used to," Johansson told Pop Sugar.

"It's a powerful message for women to see that, whether they follow suit or whatever the effect is, in the zeitgeist. It's powerful for women to see other women rejecting standard beauty norms," the actress continued, before recalling a "mortifying" incident that happened to her while shooting her 2005 movie, The Island.

"The conversation on set [was] about lighting and hiding your bad skin," she said. "The conversation between the director and the makeup artist and the cinematographer and the lighting person. I remember it was so, so mortifying."
