If you're looking for any more reasons to love Pedro Pascal, we're about to give you one after hearing about his emotional response to his sister after she came out as transgender.
Now, apart from being the internet's favorite "zaddy" right now, the 48-year-old has been stealing people's hearts for his kindness and his overall empathy when it comes to social issues, especially regarding the LGBTQIA+ community.
The issue is personal to him because of his sister Lux, who is transgender. As the supportive brother he is, Pedro has been an outspoken voice for trans visibility at a time when trans people are seemingly under threat.
So when fans heard that the star had brought Lux as his date to the Emmys earlier this week, they were over the moon.
The sibling pair showed up to the event wearing matching black ensembles, with Pedro donning a sheer black jumper and matching straight-leg trousers with a white shirt and black tie to top off the look.
His sister, on the other hand, stunned crowds in a classic halter-neck gown with a mermaid tail. Lux's hair was pulled to one side revealing a pair of statement silver earrings while completing her look with a simple glam consisting of bold eyeliner and a coral lip.
In other photos, Lux was seen posing with her brother; some with her arms linked around him while in others, she posed by herself while Pedro just smiled for the cameras.
Upon seeing the images, fans took to social media to rave about the superstar siblings.
"Pedro Pascal took his trans sister to the Emmys. Look at the love there! As well as being an absolute ride, he seems like a really great human," wrote one user while another added: "And just when I thought I couldn't love Pedro Pascal more, he used his plus one to brag on his gorgeous and talented sister who also happens to be trans. What a guy. What a brother. THAT is an artist. This is dope as hell. And Miss Mamas is BAD."
A third even stated: "YALL CAN HAVE PEDRO PASCAL I WANT HIS SISTER."
This isn't the first time we've seen The Last Of Us star take his sister to a red carpet event.
In November, Pedro took Lux to the 2023 LACMA Art+Film Gala, which was presented by the luxury brand Gucci at Los Angeles County Museum of Art. The pair also slayed at that event, with Lux appearing in a gorgeous red, lacy number while Pedro wore a simple black-and-white-lined suit.
In an interview with Revista Ya back in 2021, Lux opened up about the impact her brother had on her transition.
"Pedro has been an important part of this," she told the Chilean outlet. "He’s also an artist and has served as a guide for me. He was one of the first people to gift me the tools that started shaping my identity."
She then recalled coming out to him in a conversation over FaceTime, where Pedro "asked me how I felt, because I remember he was a little worried."
After she confirmed that she was happy, the actor congratulated her on her transition stating: "Perfect, this is incredible!"
And Lux also revealed that the news wasn't much of a surprise to her family either, who knew her as non-binary before her transition.
"My transition has been something that’s very natural for everyone in my family. It’s almost something that they expected to happen," she added.
And if that wasn't enough, in an interview with Esquire in April last year, The Last Of Us actor referred to his sister as "one of the most powerful people" he’s ever known.
The interviewer then asked Pedro "what this moment in time" was like for Lux.
"I wouldn’t want to speak on her behalf," he told the outlet. "But she is and has always been one of the most powerful people and personalities I’ve ever known. My protective side is lethal, but I need her more than she needs me."
The 48-year-old also opened up about their childhood, stating that his sister was the favorite child growing up.
"She ruled the household right away. When my older sister and I would visit, we were like intruders. Our mother was her mother, but for us to think that we were entitled to this woman’s attention in any way was absurd," he said.
