King Charles III has requested that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle "vacate" their British home, Frogmore Cottage, multiple sources have confirmed.
The Los Angeles-based couple previously lived in the four-bedroom home on the grounds of Windsor Castle prior to their exit from their duties as Senior Royals. It famously went under renovations using $2.8 million of taxpayer money through the Sovereign Grant in 2018-2019, The Telegraph detailed, though the couple repaid this cost back in September 2020.
Since then, Princess Eugenie has lived on the property, and Prince Harry renewed his lease there in May 2022 so he was able to remain domiciled in the UK. Now, it appears that Prince Andrew is set to leave his 31-room lodge and move into Frogmore Cottage - which Prince Harry and Meghan have until King Charles' May coronation to evacuate, a spokesperson for the couple revealed.
The spokesperson said via Sky News: "We can confirm the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been requested to vacate their residence at Frogmore Cottage."
The news comes amid the dramatic lead-up to the coronation, which has already been fraught with controversy as numerous A-list celebrities - including Adele, Harry Styles, Elton John, and Ed Sheeran - have turned down requests to perform, Forbes reported.

Prince Harry, 38, and Meghan, 41, were allegedly asked to vacate Frogmore Cottage just days after the release of Harry's memoir Spare, which came out in January.
The memoir - which BBC News has said is the fasted-selling non-fiction book since records began 25 years ago - made a number of damning revelations, most notably allegations that Prince William, 40, was physically aggressive towards Harry. This apparently resulted in Harry being left with cuts and bruises on his back after he fell onto a dog bowl.
Many readers were surprised that Harry explicitly addressed Prince Andrew's sex scandal and reported connection to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, who had been arrested on federal charges of sex trafficking and conspiracy to traffic minors for sex. However, the 66-year-old died by suicide in jail in 2019, before he could appear before a jury for the charges.
Prince Andrew, 62, has routinely dismissed claims that he was friendly with Epstein, despite the existence of several photographs that allegedly show the pair together. He famously took part in an interview where he repeatedly denied all claims against him and declared that he has a medical condition that means he cannot sweat.
Referring to the Royal Family's decision to remove security for Harry and Meghan following their decision to step down as senior royals and emigrate to the USA, Harry reportedly wrote in his book that he "never" thought they'd lose their security given that Prince Andrew had continued to have protection amid the scandal.
"Never. Not in this climate of hate. Not after what happened to my mother [Princess Diana]. Also, not in the wake of my Uncle Andrew," Harry wrote of the decision to take away his and Meghan's security. "He was embroiled in a shameful scandal, accused of the sexual assault of a young woman and no one had so much suggested that he lose his security. Whatever grievances people had against us, sex crimes weren't on the list," he reportedly added.
