Salma Hayek gave a pretty candid response when asked if she had ever had Botox and has explained how she maintains her youthful looks.
Hayek, 56, has previously been hailed as a "goddess" as she celebrated National Bikini Day by posting a risqué snapshot sporting a multi-colored bikini that consisted of a tie-up top and matching bottoms.
The actress continues to defy time as she maintains her flawless features, meaning that some people have begun questioning whether she's had cosmetic surgery.
On a recent episode of the podcast Let's Talk Off Camera with Kelly Ripa, the host asked the 56-year-old whether she had ever had Botox, and it would appear that Hayek came prepared for the question.
When questioned, the actress gave a very candid response to the question that had been on a few people's minds.
She confidently revealed "No Botox!"
Following the revelation that she had never received Botox, Ripa absolutely gushed over the 56-year-old, exclaiming: "You're amazing."
The Frida actress then revealed how she believes she has maintained her youthful looks. "I know what it is," she confidently said. "Because of a lot of things in my body and health issues, somehow I developed this strange meditation that I keep evolving. I can do it for hours because I don’t feel the time, and it’s so much fun."
Confessing that meditation is what she attributes her looks and good health to, she went on: "It’s actually feeling the energy. It moves and it dances inside of you, different feelings and sensations. So I do a lot of the frequency machines."
It would appear as if Hayek has stumbled across the fountain of youth, as she understands that people will doubt the power of meditation, but it clearly works for her.
"Sometimes when I’m doing it, people tell me when I come out of the room, oh my god. Again, you look 20," she went on.
The 56-year-old went on to explain that she needs to continue her meditation for the rest of her life, because as soon as she stops "the face starts to drop and everything starts to drop."
Her husband François-Henri Pinault remains skeptical of the whole thing, as he won't even refer to it as meditation, and calls it Yoga instead.
Though Hayek is living proof that what she preaches actually works!
In February, Hayek spoke to GQ about how it felt being pigeonholed into "sexy roles" throughout her career despite wanting to explore other types of characters.
"I was typecast for a long time," she told the outlet. "My entire life I wanted to do comedy and people wouldn’t give me comedies. I couldn’t land a role until I met Adam Sandler, who put me in a comedy [2010’s Grown Ups], but I was in my forties!
"They said, 'You’re sexy, so you’re not allowed to have a sense of humor.' Not only are you not allowed to be smart, but you were not allowed to be funny in the 90s," she continued.
"I was sad at the time, but now here I am doing every genre, in a time in my life where they told me I would have expired—that the last 20 years I would have been out of business.
"So I’m not sad, I’m not angry; I’m laughing."
If anybody needs me, I'll be meditating to turn back the clock on my looks!
