Taylor Swift fans have been left devastated after finding out about her latest whirlwind romance...
Now, it hasn't been that long since the news broke that the 33-year-old singer had called it quits with her partner of six years, Joe Alwyn.
Entertainment Tonight first reported the news of the 33-year-old singer's break up with the 32-year-old British actor on April 8, stating that a source close to the pair had revealed their separation happened "a few weeks ago."
"The relationship had just run its course. It's why [Alwyn] hasn't been spotted at any shows," the source continued before adding that "they simply grew apart and plan to remain friends."
At the same time all this was taking place, Swift had embarked on her Eras world tour, pouring all her emotions into her music and giving fans performances to remember.
However, those in attendance started noticing that amongst the fans was one famous face that just kept cropping up, and let's just say they weren't happy about it.
"Me on the phone with Tree Paine right now asking her why the f*** Matty Healy as at the Eras tour," wrote one user.
"Can’t believe I still cry about not being able to attend the Eras tour and Matty Healy is out there just going three nights in a row without a ticket," said another.
A third also wrote: "Taylor Alison Swift, Matty Healy is not our definition of a fun trick up your sleeve please no."
Others even suggested alternative British men to date.
After weeks of speculation, it now seems that the two might be in a relationship - that's right.
For those of you that don't know, Matty is the lead singer in the British pop rock band, The 1975.
While the musician racked up millions of fans for his unique performances as well as his general eccentric quirks, he is also known to be quite a controversial figure.
And when I say "controversial", I mean utterly appalling at times.
The 34-year-old has been accused of practically every single social issue out there including racism and misogyny.
So it's no wonder why fans are extremely concerned about his latest alleged "romance" with a cookie-cutter soft girl like Taylor Swift.
"Every second that passes is another second in which the matty/Taylor relationship has not been unambiguously disproven," this user wrote on Twitter and another had a similar response saying: "Anyone who supports Matty Healy and his relationship with Taylor please unfollow me. I don't usually speak on her relationships as it isn't our business but in this case she is dating someone who has been derogatory towards minorities and this should not just be accepted."
"If you support him or his relationship with Taylor you are supporting anti-emitisim, transphobia and Islamophobia," they added.
Others however, did jump in to defend the stars.
So what's the latest update between the two?
Well, it seems despite some fans' utter dismay at the pairing, Swift and Healy are enjoying each other's company privately and publicly.
Page Six reported were spotted "kissing" on Thursday at Casa Cipriani in New York City, where "they sat next to each other at a banquette in the lounge," according to an eyewitness who spoke to the outlet.
The spy also revealed that neither of them had ordered any food while they were "cuddling and kissing" with "security... around them."
Photos from the event showed the You Belong With Me singer in a lime green tea dress and her signature red lip while Healy trudged alongside her in an all-black 'fit.
Well, let's just hope they both find the comfort they've been looking for in each other.
