The stars of Breaking Bad reunited at the 2024 SAG Awards for a hilarious profanity-laden reunion.

A star-studded audience gathered at the Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall in Los Angeles on Saturday (February 24) for the 30th Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards.

The ceremony had no host - which meant we didn't have to sit through another Jo Koy performance - and was streamed live globally on Netflix for the very first time.

This year, Oppenheimer was the night's big winner, cementing its status as the frontrunner ahead of the Oscars on March 10. There were also big prizes for Robert Downey Jr., The Holdovers star Da'Vine Joy Randolph, and Lily Gladstone for Killers of the Flower Moon.

The stellar Breaking Bad cast reunited to present the trophy for Outstanding Performance by an Ensemble in a Drama Series.

The hit TV series ran from 2008 to 2013 for five seasons on AMC and won several accolades, including 16 Emmy Awards on top of the ensemble cast's 2014 SAG Award win.

Bob Odenkirk and Jonathan Banks went on to star in the spinoff series Better Call Saul, which featured cameos from many of the original show's actors over its six-season run, which ended in 2022.

But before the winner was announced, Bryan Cranston, Aaron Paul, Bob Odenkirk, Anna Gunn, Dean Norris, RJ Mitte, Betsy Brandt, and Jonathan Banks pretended to rebel against the cheesiness of a script that instructed the actors to spell out what each letter of the word "ensemble" stands for.

Watch the reunion below:

After Gunn, 55, explained that "'E' stands for the excellence that each cast member brings to every exciting episode" Odenkirk, 61, protested that "'N' stands for "No, no f***ing way I'm doing this cheesy thing where you say each letter of the word, I'm not doing it."

"Ah, I mean, I think we have to," said Paul, 44, chimed in while pointing toward the teleprompter. To which, Norris, 60, added: "Eh, teleprompter my ass. I've got a beer and a couple of shots backstage. So let's get this thing going."

"No, Bob's right. My grandma wouldn't even put this on a pillow, it's so cheesy," said Mitte, 31, interjected. This led to Brandt stating: "I know your grandmother, and you're right, she wouldn't. Listen, you guys, I don't mean to start 'T-for-trouble' but what do you think SAG would do to us if we didn't do this?"

"It's an awards show for Chrissakes," Banks, 77, noted. "They can't fire us, so f*** 'em!" Cranston then wrapped up the bit by concluding: "Well, that's the true ensemble spirit right there." Banks could also be heard asking where their costar Giancarlo Esposito - who played antagonist Gus Fring - was for the cast's reunion.

Many fans took to their social media to share their excitement for the cast's reunion, with one user writing:  "This is pure nostalgia!" Another said: "This was so unhinged. Lololol love it. Some of the funniest people came together and delivered some of the most dramatic and heartbreaking acting in TV lolol."

A third commented: "So amazing seeing them together again after all these years," while a fourth added: "This is so good lmao I missed them."

Gunn went on to announce the cast of HBO's Succession as the winner of the award, with Odenkirk giving the trophy over to Alan Ruck, who played Connor Roy in the drama.

The 67-year-old accepted the award on behalf of his fellow cast members, stating: "One last hurrah, I think. Right now, you’re looking at some of the luckiest people on the planet and some of the most grateful."

"Because not only did we get to all work on one of the best television shows, you know, maybe ever, we made friends for life." He continued. "Now we’re thrilled to be recognized by our peers."
