Zendaya responds to rumor about Tom Holland 'Euphoria' Cameo

Zendaya has responded to a question about whether Tom Holland had secretly appeared on the hit HBO series Euphoria.

The 25-year-old actress - who plays Rue, a high school student struggling to stay clean after getting out of rehab for drug addiction - cleared up some rumors about the show.

She did an interview with Entertainment Tonight and was asked whether there was any truth to the rumor that Holland had made a cameo on the show.

"Who knows?" She vaguely responded. “The world may never know,” added Zendaya.

In episode seven of season two, titled 'The Theater and It's Double', Lexi Howard (Maude Apatow) puts on her very chaotic, personal play in front of her friends and fellow students. And viewers thought they saw Holland playing one of the audience members.

During an interview with IMDB before Spider-Man: No Way Home was released, Holland expressed to Zendaya, his interest in appearing on the HBO's hit series alongside her.

He said: “Listen, I have been petitioning for this for a long time. It has not happened yet and I’m very disappointed. I must have come to visit ‘Euphoria’ at least 30 times this season.”

Zendaya responded with: “OK, let me talk to some people. HBO! Let’s get them on the phone.”

The former Disney star has spoken about how supporting her yet-to-be-confirmed boyfriend and Spider-Man co-star was whilst she was filming Euphoria season two. She even joked around about sneaking him into the background of a set like an "easter egg" for fans to discover.

In an interview with BuzzFeed, Holland spoke about what kind of character he would play on the show. He said: “If I would be in ‘Euphoria.’ I think I would be a really good Maddy,” referring to Alexa Demie’s character.

“I’m a big ‘Euphoria’ fan. I love the show and I love season two. I visited a lot while they were shooting it and I really, really enjoyed it,” he added.
